Sunwell and Netherwing were both utter shit. Saying that one shit realm is better than another shit realm doesn't mean much. Felmyst might have been good if it didn't die instantly, Ares would have been good if the lead dev didn't abandon the project instantly. But every other server is plain garbage. You can tell if a TBC server is shit or not by asking 3 simple questions:

If I remember correctly, Sunwell was the realm that said "no worries, no p2w!" and started adding cash shop stuff like 36 slot bags. Netherwing was really something else though: the "100% Outland scripted" server. Where about a quarter or a third of the Outland mobs had major bugs (caster not having mana, mobs using no skills/spells, no visuals on skills, etc). Where Outland dungeons were so utterly broken that mobs inside the dungeons WERE KILLING EACH OTHER. With more crippling class bugs that would've been acceptable in an alpha; hell Ele Shamans had a bunch of talents that simply didn't do anything on release. In short: the Netherwing devs lied and released a server that was even worse than Sunwell.

Idk whoever does the graphics for them, seems like they think making things look like we're still in 2006 is passable. Starcraft 2 had horrible performance when it launched, recommended specs wasn't really enough to get a stable 60 FPS in online play on lower settings (you had to go absolutely lowest to get 60 FPS stable, which is a must for any 'competitive' game). I remember diablo 3 being better with performance though multiplayer was a mess, the graphic design looked very ugly though. When something achieves monopoly status there is little incentive to improve the product and to keep hiring the best talent. Eventually other players on the market innovate and if the monopoly is too lazy, or unable to take hold of the innovation or emerging player (e.g. just purchasing the competitor) then it would have to improve its product somehow to compete. But it can't compete since bad hiring practices, bad company culture and lots of incompetence in upper management (but also lower) prevent this from happening.

What's sad is if you go through the newer expansions and play through them Pandaria's the best they've had since Wrath. You can tell they put a lot of heart and soul into it, even if the results weren't great. Cataclysm was Metzen getting too big for himself and everything afterwards has been a blatant shekel grab, whether it's from pruning and cost-cutting or obvious MAU manipulation like the world quest system. Coincidentally, Pandaria's the last expansion they designed with flying in mind.

Maybe the Kronos devs got their collective heads out of their collective asses since I played during the K2 launch, but back then the server was pretty bad as far as class bugs went. You'd go into their bug tracker, look up reports for major class bugs, you'd see players give straight-from-Blizzard proof of how it worked, compare it directly to how it worked on K2, and the devs still refused to acknowledge the issue as a bug. This happened for many, many bugs. I can't comment on the competence of the LH or Ascension devs.

Recently there was a major outage during one of their events where nothing was happening on the stream. Normally for livestreams when there is an outage of any sort the viewers just leave. Not for overwatch league though. Those numbers stayed steady from start to finish through the entire outage.

It's plainly a tool that wanted to play an MMORPG as a fucking singleplayer game, ideally with as much dungeon in as little time as possible. Means: Getting a group for, to, and through the dungeon became much faster, but whereas each dungeon dive originally used to be a little adventure, the group finder simply turns it into a tedious task that you want to get done with as quickly as possible.

That's because WoW at it's core has always been a casual game that poorly copied off of EQ. It only obtained fame because it was easier than EQ and it advertised to the right crowds. WoW never was about being a RPG, it was always about being a themepark. That Onyxia achievement is from the day the achievement system went live. And as far as I remember, not every achievement was retroactively granted. I remember running all of the old raid content on 3.0.2 release with my guild to get all those dumb achievements out of the way. And I got a Scarab Brooch from Viscidus that day, which I used all the way up until heroic Lich King. Shit was so good.
