Actually it HAS tank controls, the camera is what does the trick, you now turn with a different stick (or using the mouse on PC) than the one you use to move forward or backwards, people have never realized that? The only argument you can make in favor of fixed cameras is that the game can have very specific cinematography. But that falls apart when you run into the frustrating aspects of fixed cameras such as enemies that are difficult to fight or get around because they keep moving in and out of your forcibly limited sight.

You could say that sentiment represents /v as a whole but the issue isn't a game catering to a specific kind of autism but the lack of any grey area and the hypocrisy behind it. I think 3 is the best but I don't hate 4 and 5. 5's major issue comes from the fact that it's on rails. The mercenaries and all the bonus content more than makes up for the somewhat mediocre campaign in that game.

The only difference in control between RE4 and RE3 is the fact that you can freely aim(upping the skillcap tbh).
5 had semi tank controls the only thing you can really do is strafe but it's insanely slow and useless so it's just easier to spin and run.
