Super Robot Wars (webms are the Z3 games on PS3/Vita) which is a turn-based strategy serie, and a big fat crossover of mecha animes & mangas across generations. Some sci-fi animes like Yamato 2199, Captain Harlock, Cowboy Bebop, Nadia & the Blue Water make a guest appearance too.

You have several unit types, "real robots" (Gundam suits for instance are lights units mostly strong in space but weak as shit underwater while the Full Metal Panic robot units are the opposite), "super robots" (Getter Robo, Zambot, Daitarn), and battleships (which act like HQ units, can refill energy/ammo and provide repair to units that park inside, have super strong attacks and lot of HP, but they get easily hit by anything and cant attack if they already moved on the grid map within the same turn). You sometimes get sub-types like planes and support characters, varying whetever of the mecha or sci-fi franchise present in the game. Battles are generally done in the way that you always attack first during your turn, but if you fail to destroy the enemy with your attack, it will counter-attack within the same sequence assuming you're in its range. At the end of each mission, you get to customize mecha with different item parts by spending points you acquired, as well as training pilots.
It's also a very long game with lot of replayability since there are several routes where you get different units available, and depending of your strategy actions, you get different endings. Such as a different big bad on the final missions.
While it's literally fanfiction-tier, it's rather fun to see interactions between characters of different franchises, like the cast of Getter Robo telling Shinji from Evangelion to stop complaining and grow some balls. Or established villains forming alliances too to stomp your forces.

I would say either V (PS4/Vita) or T (PS4/Switch sad there wasnt a Vita version even if it's perfectly understandable) as both have an official english translation, thus rather easy to get into.
