Freelancer is fun but if you look at what it promised then it is a failure on all fronts. Played the game over again last year and it is really obvious how much is left out. Episode 1 focused too much on questions that nobody cared about and didn't need answering but did give rise to the idea of Darth Sidious aswell as the CIS, and a tiny bit of backstory on the Jedi Order.

Episode 2 focused too much on romance but gave us a look into the politics of the Republic, Jedi Order, and the first sign that the Empire may be on the way due to the creation of Clone Troopers.

Episode 3 was probably the best, scoring the perfect balance on Anakin, politics, the end of the Clone Wars and the fall of the Jedi.

The prequels were far from perfect, but I could rewatch them all and be more invested while also groaning at times from watching the first one than I ever was with the new shit Disney has put out.
