Sadly, the playerbase is a little low. I'd say there is at most 50-60 players per day, but the worst thing is that most of them are melee only/ST2 players so I hope this is your cup of tea otherwise you'll have to stick with /v/ or the rare unlimited rooms showing up during the day.(Europe time)

The most popular and fun mode (with good reason) is the touchdown mode where you have to pick a cute little thing called fumbi (which is a glorified ball) and you have to carry it to the enemy's goal post. You have to rely on the support of your team to do so since picking the ball reduces your stamina/sp bar. In some maps, especially Station-2 which is the dust-2 of this game you can try and attempt to score a touchdown alone by outplaying your opponents, doing stylish jumps to reach the goalpost.

There's also the not working yet on this serverchaser mode, in which one player is picked and tasked to kill all the others. The person picked to be chaser has his defense increased of course so that he doesn't die in matter of seconds. It goes like this : the non chaser player who has the most points is marked with a big green target. If he's killed the chaser gains 4 points, then it marks the next in rank, etc. But he's not obligated to do so, if for example the targeted eSper moves around too much and is too hard to kill then the chaser could resort to kill the non targeted ones. (gaining only 2 points)

The survivors can attack/shoot the chaser to increase their points but doing so you risk pissing off the player behind the screen and getting killed in frustration

I don't remember how I did to understand the rules but it's pretty easy if you follow your team members or if you know about the maps. The second link farther below will help you in that regard. One important thing is to not lose track of where the ball is, so that you don't focus on killing an opponent while the rest of the enemy team is closing near to your goal. You can locate the ball holder (no matter the team) with the big light on top of his head, or press tab to see the map and the area he's in. (if the ball holder is in your team, the dot representing your teamate will glow. If the fumbi is held by nobody or dropped it will be represented by a star)

most obvious scenario is if there's more than one enemy in front of your goalpost and one of them has the fumbi where you'll usually need to take out the rest of the team before you drop the ball carrier or they'll score

It's still the brilliant buggy mess it is. Nowhere near GunZ in that regard but the game's still fun with all the animation cancels and reverse jumps shenanigans. Wallboosting with guns is removed, but i never liked it anyway.

Also what makes this private server unique among the others like S4 Competitive and Remnants is the amount of custom and/or reworked content. There's always new shit to find and most of the time you can find yourself a strong weapon set just by dicking around. I personally love the new Burst Rifle, it's like using a less damaging but a much more forgiving Gauss Rifle, not to mention it's currently the best weapon for destroying objects with high HP like Hyperium walls and Station-2 bridges.

If you don't feel like playing it's always a blast to play dress-up too.
