First of all, there could have been more signals to the player what was going to happen. Best example would be a line showing you the exact path your hero would take. For some reason this tends to be more common in the turn-based genre. The newer X-COM games also have this. Another thing, which has to do with D&D games and NWN in particular, is how the action economy works and how it interacts with the real-time aspect of the game. If you move too far in a given 6-second period, you lose your standard action (your spell cast, attack, or use of an item for the uninitiated) because you use up your move action and use the standard action for movement. This is in no way signalled to the player in any of those fucking RTwP D&D-based games at all, you just have to get a feel for how far the distance is and get the timing down on clicking your mouse at the right time. If you're going to have that sort of clownery, then make it a real game mechanic instead of just quirky bullshit.

From what i've heard across the net, Anthem has been passed between managers and teams like a 3 cent hooker. It's constantly been done and redone, entire mechanics leave the cutting room floor late into development then somehow came back, the jetpack got redesigned a thousand fucking times, and the whole game is just a fucking mess, but it was made that way by a fucking mess of the diversity hire team who are probably working on games for the first time in their fucking lives.
The industry is fucked up. But whatever goes on in that dev studio is kerfuckled.

Blizzard do sabotage other company's games, all the time. Whenever a competitor's game comes up Blizzard puts on some free weekend or special promotion to swing the spotlight back on their shit. Free weekends for Overwatch whenever Paladin releases a big update, for example.
It's amazing how it works too. The attention span of most consumers is that of an ADHD mayfly.
I just don't get the Blizzard fanboyism. Their games are okay at best, just well polished, but they've got this army of devotees who think they're the epitome of gaming originality when in fact all their games are just well-marketed rip-offs of shit that came out years before.
