Unity revived a dead language C# (mono) and horrible scripting with Javascript (Unityscript)

Microsoft dumped C# because it failed at making it base for next Windows, now Unity is moving more and more of it into the base (horrible idea)

Unity is also responsible for 99% of TRASH GAMES on Steam

Engine is horribly optimized and has bugs you cant fix(especially when it crashes a lot), and so closed you have to pay 100k to get access to the internal code

Other than that i guess it depends on you and what you are doing to make something good out of it

Unity is a good engine but 90% of the people who use it have no idea what they're doing. It also got a really bad reputation because of no brain niggers like Jim Sterling who make the engine responsible for all the garbage games that use it.

You really aren't doing the ignorant cadre of "engine haters" who know nothing about programming but really wish they did any favors with ridiculous statements like this one. You may as well pick up a megaphone and yell "I have no idea what I am saying."

Both OpenMW and DFUnity are the fastest and most stable ways to play the game. Even if you take all of DFUnity's flaws into consideration, let's stop for a moment and see what you are missing when you play Daggerfall on DOS.

Sure, there are flaws, but I'm convinced anyone shitting on DFUnity is simply a lazy faggot that hasn't actually tried it, despite it being freely available. It's like switching from using a hand drill to a power drill; sure you could come up with a few gripes but they aren't worth mentioning because the improvements are so blatantly obvious and useful that you are going to use it regardless.

The reason for that is because it is so readily available, tons of shitters will use it. I'm not going to lie and say that Unity is more optimized than writing an engine in C++ for the platform you intend to release it on, but on the other hand Daggerfall isn't exactly a demanding game to run. No multiplayer or netcode to worry about, no demanding graphics nor memory usage.

morrowind is more boring than Daggerfall.

Morrowind lacks things like scheduals, mounts, indepth factions and random civilians, and color although there are mods that fix it, but it will still lack the magic and wonder that Daggerfall had

Maybe if the game was bigger, more role playing elements, weapons and not look like the taste of baked potato with soy sauce, it's inferior than Daggerfall
