What are good games, or subsystems in games to do crimes? i'm not talking shitty interactive movies like GTA mind you. Think about Thief, Hitman, the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild storylines in the Elder Scrolls and so on.

What games let you play a crook, bonus points if its an option but not the main focus.

I have a hankering for some breaking and entering stealth bullshit good times.

bb5f15  No.16382907

Evil Genius if you want a more strategy/management approach to crime, sending minions out, designing deathtraps in your superbase, kidnapping secret agents, etc.

Alpha Protocol, while a secret agent game, gives you a lot of those 'break in, murder people, steal shit' vibes with actual good dialogue and RPG everything.

Dishonored 1 or 2, again, has a lot of those stealth/combat/stealing mechanics if you're looking for broader 'crime' games.

Styx: Master of Shadows, first one, is very long and a bit drawn out but almost identical to the Thief series in concept. Be a goblin sneaking through one giant city getting loot and completing objectives. Styx 2 is trash, ignore it.

Invisible Inc is Xcom-like combat but with secret agents and infiltration operatives. Find a location, break in, steal shit, assassinate, get intel, escape. Omerta City of Gangsters is another xcom-like game but more focused on pure crime.

Just Cause 2 isn't really crime/stealth, more 'terrorism simulator' where you parachute into a town, blow fucking everything up, topple radio towers, steal a tank and drive off into the sunset.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a lot of potential to break if you play as a thief/burglar, quite a few towns to fuck with and stealth is safer than open combat if you're shit at the system.

Monaco is a low-graphics overhead tactical-ish stealth burglary game where you have to break in to offices, banks, etc, disable alarms get the loot and get out.

PAYDAY 1 or 2, obviously, if you're interested in team shenanigans or have actual friends who will cooperate.

This War of Mine is about refugees surviving 30-40 days by building shit in a safehouse, recruiting survivors, then by night going out to forage and loot other buildings. Not as much 'crime' again, but lots of stealth, a very fragile thief/character, and having to loot and ransack locations with minimal combat or sheer avoiding of all other targets unless you can get the drop on them.

Some suggestions.

I wouldn't recommend Red Dead Redemption 2. Its crime system is definitely whack. Even if you commit a crime in total secret, the local cops "somehow" know about it and raise your bounty level. If you're getting mugged in streets and kill the bastard in revenge, the game considers that crime and not just self-defense. You can't even heckle strangers too much or else that's a crime. Excuse me? I thought I was playing a game set in America with First Amendment protections. Not some europoor shithole.

I'm just mentioning RDR2 because it had the worst crime system I'd ever seen. You'll tend to rack up a "crime" count, even when you're just trying to play lawfully.

Space Station 13 (or similar multiplayer games with traitor systems) will give you more interesting scenarios than any singleplayer game possibly could since you have to hide your crimes from intelligent humans through lies and deceit.

Uplink has you playing as a black hat hacker, a cybercriminal. Not getting caught is a major game mechanic, you can frame other hackers for your crimes (or just hack into Global Criminal Database and falsify their crime records), rob banks (completely optional and freeform) and even free fellow hackers from the custody for some cash.

This, if you wanna commit electronic theft, forge records/documents, and be apart of corporate espionage, Then there's always Uplink and the fan expansion Onlink. It's not as personal as the stealth games mentioned, but I'd say it still counts with the game's risk of the government breaking into your house and shutting your whole operation down if you get caught.

>aimless wander back into house

There I sat plain as day, like a pyromaniac midget and not a peep of recognition out of them. Other times I've been followed around an empty field all night by some non-guard faggot who seems to think my flower picking night was something that needed supervision.

Any good serial killer games out there?

I tried playing Skyrim where I'd go out at night and stealthily kill someone at random, but the experience felt incredibly empty. Murder has no impact in-game, no one comments on the latest slayings, the NPCs don't react to changes like that. Even if you get caught, you'll only be punished for that single murder, and you'll only get a slap on the wrist. I need a deeper experience where NPCs become afraid of walking outside at night, where news of a serial killer actually gets around.

Hitman is better than GTA or Hatred for mass murdering. Webm related.

Use trainer or cheat engine for unlimited ammo and health otherwise you will die pretty fast even on normal difficulty.

It's like if Michael Mann made a Movie Series for Furfags, except it's a game, and it's actually pleasant enough to be enjoyed by everybody.

A big shame they effectively cancelled the franchise after the 4th game (and left it on a frustrating cliffhanger, spoiler alert). And the only thing we got left is two Nintendo rip-ah-spins, and a TV Series at the end of this year that's probably going to make Sonic Boom look like Earthworm Jim (actually a good TV show). I almost expect a crossover with that French Ladybug to be made as well.

All we have left today is a "loyal" fan-base and #34 galore.

I really want a co-op mode, and I'm not talking about the gay sniper thing. One player would be male and the other female. The female player plays the same or she could have an extra initial inventory slot, but gets access to female disguises. You could have certain combo disguises to get passed certain areas like a reporter and cameraman, newlyweds, or any opportunity where both a male and female are expected.
