Make him more accurate, there's no reason for his accuracy to suffer when his niche is long/mid range shooting. Make his shift roll give him invincibility frames or at least make the distance covered longer, he is too vulnerable as is and isn't nearly as mobile as Huntress or even MUL-T. Give his secondary shot a larger hitbox or make it push enemies back. Other than that, he's fine.

Make her able to sprint and shoot while running backwards. Nobody is going to sprint forward towards an enemy, rendering the fact she can run and gun useless.
>Engineer
He's pretty balanced so far. His lack of mobility really meshes well with his defensive and offensive ability. All I can really ask for is a noticeable timer for his shield so it won't be a surprise when it goes down right as a vagrant suicide bombs the map.
>MUL-T
I like him so far and think he's pretty solid balance-wise but if I were to change one thing, it'd be his sprint. I want to be able to stop whenever I want.
>Mercenary
He's too vulnerable to blazing enemies and especially overloading enemies. I don't think anyone has been able to defeat an overloading worm with mercenary without dying. I'd like to see something put in place for him to be able to tank more efficiently. Maybe make his R give invincibility for a longer duration, just space out the # of attacks more? I don't really know. I think his secondary attack could use some tweaking as well since it often puts me out of an enemy's range and makes me miss. I think they can get away with making that attack's hitbox far larger, but the attack itself quicker. The air-secondary should also give you some more height.
>Artificer
Changes to be made have been touched on with her but the biggest flaw is how useless her ice wall continues to be. It needs to be taller and also block projectiles similar to how Engineer's shield works. Her mobility is too poor to not have any reliable defensive maneuvers. I saw in the last thread that she should be given fall damage immunity, which makes sense. I wouldn't mind seeing an ability to levitate momentarily as well, allowing you to glide in a similar way Peach does in Super Smash Bros. Besides that, I think Artificer is a well-rounded offense survivor.

Can someone explain to me what's the point of the turrets you can buy scattered around the level?
Also, when is the developer going to make the drones not shit? I remember one run where I had around 10 of them and they couldn't follow me to the teleport because it was in some cave so they all died while I was busy fucking around with the boss. There either needs to be a command to tell them to close up on you or to let them phase through certain barriers. Also, the prototype drone needs to be smaller since all it fucking does most of the time is get stuck in the level geometry.
Also, some way to tell which containers have been opened from a distance, maybe having them change color to red or yellow.

To Serve And Protect (you putting the shield down) basically slows you down as usual and makes your shield incredibly larger and immune to damage, imagine the shield being placed in front of you an a wall localized on the shield forms, akin to the Engineer's shield.
Grenade, make something that stuns briefly and has a vacuum effect, to line up for shotgun.
Make the bash attack a large AoE that pushes everything away from you, with an emphasis being in the front.
It could work well because enemies now don't just phase through you and you can have a degree on control on what hits you, especially since most attacks now are ranged.

Not sure if this game needs to fix it's defense scaling. It's far easier to scale your attacks but to scale your defense? Good luck with that, after a few levels there's a chance you get hit and one shot. I don't like how the (((community))) is crying about a bunch of stuff and they are listening and cratering to their needs and making the game easier.
Blazing enemies are a bit ridiculous though. Also notice that I get hit but I don't see the projectile hit me at all, as it's invisible or something. So getting hit by invisible attacks is far trash.
I hope they add different skills you can choose from so you have a alternative skill for each player to pick from.

The issue isn't that the game is hard, per se, because by your first loop you're already unkillable unless you do something stupid, it's that some characters are gimped - Commando and Artificer chief among them.
MUL-T is the far better option compared to Commando if you want a character that pewpews very fast. His only real drawback is that he's slow, but there's already plenty of lower tier items that can be used to boost mobility
Artificer is fucked because the game is far more reliant on maneuver than defense, and she has no defense skills, and the one that could be used that way is poorly implemented.
I imagine things might even out once more items are introduced, but it's also obvious several of the survivors need some tweaking to be viable.

Commando would need a good buff to his overall stats to make him worth using alongside Mul-T. As it stands, the two have similar enough movesets, but Mul-T has harder scaling and too many fundamental advantages(Two weapon slots, Railgun being hitscan and lacking a cooldown, shift ability reducing damage while having both a defensive and offensive use) to make the two equals. I'd say increase Commando's base movespeed(And Huntress' while we're at it) a little bit, give his roll some i-frames, and make his rightclick fire two shots at once or give it a second charge. The big problem with commando is that he should have been massively reworked to work in 3D but wasn't. He was just given the same moveset to work in a precise hitscan area in a 3D plane, instead of a 2D plane with only two directions to worry about. In 1 he was all about crowd control, pushing hordes back and avoiding damage to continue doing so. In 2, full metal jacket loses its primary point of pushing 50% of his enemies back, and suppressive fire loses its primary point of hitting both sides. To make the jump to 3D without losing something, and taking into account the much sparser nature of enemies, commando should hit a wide area with full metal jacket and hit every enemy in a set radius with supressive fire.

It's a near perfect conversion from the first one, into 3D. Some items and mechanics are tweaked to suit the more open nature, like the teleporter event requires you to stand in a radius of the teleporter while it charges. Combat is a lot more vertical and levels are way more open (since you can move around easier).
Also online is much better, it's extremely smooth to just copy a room number.
It's still in early access, so there's no final boss (it just keeps looping after the 4th level), no artifacts, and only a few characters. Even with what it has, there's a lot to explore.

Fuck the teleporter changes. Having to wait inside a circle jerking yourself off because there's nothing worth killing is bad enough, but the wait increases for every idiot who isn't standing there with you so Multiplayer is all herding cats while you stair at the more interesting things you could be doing outside the circle.
Nice that they've added a quickplay feature so you can actually find people to play with without having to rely on some third party server list site nobody actually uses. You want to avoid having more money than chests, since the cash>exp conversion isn't very good, but you'll usually need a couple items to take down the teleporter event.
I've found that about 2-5 items is enough to hit something with decent enough synergy with your kit to take down a boss, but really as long as you're hitting the teleporter before the difficulty does more than 1 jump you'll be fine unless the rng really fucking wants you dead and only gives you rusty keys and one goat hoof

I don't like most roguelites because those games feels too much like RNG and replaying early game content, but this isn't like that at all. It starts slower, yes, but the gameplay is the same from start to end. The only difference is that you start going through levels faster. No "go replay floor 1~4 so you can have another try at the floor 5 boss that RNG spammed summons that one run" bullshit like some other roguelites like to do.

Artificier has no defence mechanisms whatsoever, what were they thinking. After some time all shit has potential to OHKO your ass and this lil bitch has no iframes or shields? She apparently has high base damage with her skills so the tooltips recommend focusing on defensive items but it's like you said, everything has the potential to OHKO.

I keep thinking hoppo missed a chajce by not making the weapons of your characters upgradeable, yeah sure you've got artifacts but at the end of the day your regular weapons don't do the job and are 200% reliant in on-hit effects, maybe not weapon upgrades but abilities upgrades, maybe like use items you can only pick one upgrade for one of your abilities, which could only be obtainable in the bazaar and costs lunar coins ie: huntress hail of arrows apply on-hits, commando fires with both guns with his burst, artificer flamethrower chains like a lighting, mul-t weapon switch buffs his damage or rate of fire, or the engi mines explode into more mines. Dunno, those are a few ideas.

Mercenary has an issue with Overloading Worms because you can't get near those, otherwise he's perfectly fine.
Both characters can be made fine by taking a few GOTD and a disposable missile launcher. At that point you no longer need to use any of your attacks and just let the missiles do all the work. Arguable the Merc and Huntress are best for that build because of their movement abilities.

Git Gud and learn to aim. Simple as that. As long as you know how to time your hits with Artificier, have a lot of backup magazines on her and use the ice shield to instakill enemies with low health and freeze them when they walk into it, she becomes pretty damn amazing.
If you think her manuverability is well trash further on into a run either just kite enemies to death or jump around and strafe with her from side to side when fighting enemies, that strategy is absolutely invaluable.

From how long it will take for those rewards, it looks like this is Gearbox's doing. By drip-feeding the content it seems like it was a decision from Gearbox in an attempt to get more sales because "well everyone else said that having big releases builds more hype than making small changes every single day". June, Summer and 1.0 launch have a singular boss each planned, while the other two have "new bosses" planned. That leads me to believe that June and Summer bosses are already finished but are simply granted time for extra polish, while Fall and Winter do not have any. And artifacts, as fun as they may be, do not require nine months.

Brainstalks cannot be shared with the team, do not refresh cooldowns and instead put them to around 20% their normal downtime, require you to kill enemies that by default have inflated health, and having to pick up bandolier drops is a non-issue when it means you can deliberately burn your other abilities before grabbing it, including skating over it with a movement ability. The single leg up brainstalks have is that they are predictable, but the game spawns so many enemies that bandolier’s chance stops mattering later on, and elites only become more bloated. They only start showing their strength when you stack backup magazines, and even then, it’s an extremely underwhelming red.
It may just be a side effect of the game not having any real single-target focused characters outside of Artificer, arguably. If Sniper plays anything like he did in ror1, he’ll get far more mileage out of it than anyone else. Until then, it’s printer fodder.

Brainstalks are good for skills that have short animation times so you can get a few seconds of button mashing out of them. It's much more consistent than the bandolier since it doesn't rely on drop chance and proximity to the kill zone. It's great for shit like artificer so she can spam fire bolts and nova spheres without needing to fuck around in close range. Also bandoliers only reset one charge on shit with multiple charges so it's not great for artificer's bolts or stacked backup magazines. Bandolier is better for skills with longer cooldowns, but brainstalks are better for raw spam.

You're not shit, you just picked a shit class to main. Commando's basic attack is 2x90% (180%) which is better than Huntress if you don't take accuracy into account. However, there's one big, undocumented flaw with Commando.

Meaning he's a mid-long range that gets penalized for being at a mid-long range. And again, that's not taking accuracy into account. I decided to give MUL-T another try, knowing that proc on-hit items are multiplied by hit damage, so his rebar procs items at 600% their normal effect (and his nailgun only hits for 60%, 40% of the time). As it turns out in spite of this, the nailgun still does WAAAY more proc damage than the rebar overall. I'm not really sure why mechanically, but you can easily see the difference when a boss's HP melts.
I managed to get a pretty good item build with stickies and all the other shit and pretty much "Win the game" on monsoon as MUL-T. I still feel he's one of the worst characters though, the Rebar still sucks, he really suffers for lack of mobility, and basically other characters just do much better.

I'd say it's probably chain procs. Let's say your 60% nailgun procs a stack of 3 Runald's bands. That's 60% of 500%= 300% damage. Now those runald's bands proc a stack of 3 ATG missiles, now you have 300% of 900%=2700%. Now if those ATG missiles proc something else, that original 60% or 600% doesn't really matter anymore. What matters is getting a ton of procs as quickly as you can so that you increase your chances of chaining out with exploding percentages.

You have one aoe slow on a long cooldown and one attack that bounces a few times for a fair amount of damage but I'd hardly call that king of CC.

Laser glaive is pretty good but it's not like it's head and shoulders above everything else and it's pretty much the only thing she has going for her. It only hits up to 6 enemies at a time, for 250-310% damage each. It's better than Commando's phase round or MUL-T's blast canister but that's not saying much and nobody tries to defend them on the merits of their secondary attack like they do for Huntress.
But compare the laser glaive to Artificer nova-bomb which hits everything in it's massive area for up to 1200% damage. The projectile is slower but it also hurts things near it along the way and stuns whatever is in the blast wave. The artificer definitely beats out huntress on most aspects here. Generally if you can aim projectiles with travel time Artificer is going to beat out huntress damage in most cases. The only thing Huntress has on Artificer is Artificer has no getaway option.
It's difficult to compare to Merc and and Engineer since they play so incredibly different but both of them are adept at butchering groups of monsters too but they're not just relying on one or two skills to do it.
Commando really is in a tough spot though. Even ignoring the damage drop off his kit is bland and uninteresting. They really ought to bring back the i-frames to his dodge roll like they had in RoR1 since it's pretty much a worse blink at the moment and maybe give his suppressive fire a bit of an autoaim aspect to bring it a little more back in line with how it acted in the first game. I think once some other items come out he'll be back in a better spot but for now he's in the shitter with huntress for being too boring to play.

As for the others, Huntress's laser glaive has a larger effective radius than nano bomb and is better at hitting multiple aerial targets. They've buffed the proc chance on her arrow rain and it can be used to slow and possibly funnel enemies, it's also a quick vertical dash which can be used as a dodge in a pinch.

There's a slight bit of aim-assist with suppressive fire but I'm thinking more inline with huntress targeting for that skill alone and possibly splitting the shots among multiple targets since the first game would fire forward and backwards when you were surrounded. It would make it more useful than a single target stun with a bit of extra damage which seems pretty lame for an "R" attack.
The glaive can jump further but you're still limited on the target number where as nova bombs hit everything in a good sized area. The arcing effect of the nova bomb also helps out on aerial targets so even if you miss with the meat of the bomb you're still likely to deal a good portion of damage. Also you can lob those bombs from across the map where you have to be within range to throw a laser glaive.
The doubled the proc rate on arrow rain but that only moved it from 10% to 20% which is still feebly low. And since I generally play merc most often, I've gotten into the habit of hopping around like a retard no matter what class I'm playing so I really don't notice much use in using it as a vertical dash. It always seemed more of a liability to me since it kills momentum to use and that's not something I want to do in the thick of it.

I don't mind Wake of Vultures. On the right instances it's extremely good. Killing overloading monsters will give you a humongous boost to your energy shield and blazing monsters will boost your damage significantly if you use it in conjunction with a high proc rate attack like artificer flamethrower. Watching imp overlords melt with 20 stacks of burning is fun to watch. It's not as strong as say the ceremonial dagger or happiest mask, but it's still reasonably in the red tier.
H3AD-5T is obnoxious though. In some cases it's good since it removes fall damage which can be a problem for merc or later in the game for everyone else, and the increased jump height is kinda nice, but it feels too floaty and slows your jumps far too much. Nobody uses it for the crash landing damage and getting more than one feels like a waste of space

Holy fucking shit this has better be bait. You cannot be that stupid of a motherfucker. Nova bomb has to be charged and the ricochet is much weaker than glaive, it can't even one shot wisps natively even fully charged. It's much better at single target damage than CC.
