Probably going to go farmer again, maybe with some other helpful skill depending on time, like backup cook or religion. I know I left in a faggoty huff as I tend to do but reflecting on it I don't have anything against the players (except bruce he sucks) or even the admins since I can appreciate the shit situation they were in. Though, I do fault you guys for an extremely poor launch, especially when Wurm is so dependent on momentum. I know the six month meme fell through but this server was not the right response. Just dumped a nearly stock server with an extremely fucking sloppy map and 90% aggro in the middle of a thread. Insane. At least you tried, though.
Those of you who spent a lot of time in village chat with me knew I had a serious, SERIOUS fucking problem with the map. "Antithesis of fun" as I put it and I stand by it. It's wretched. Some players were present when I had some sort of episode due to having to deal with the terrain and it turns out that was the onset of a panic attack after I brought up the symptoms to relatives.
Yes, it turns out this map is so fucking shitty and frustrating to me that it brought on the onset of a panic attack which I didn't even know I could get. I have dealt with all kinds of stressful shit and never even really got close to what 60 minutes of riding around on this map got me. Words can't express how much I fucking hate the map.
And PvP/PvE take place on it. During the whole event I was just trying to picture myself having a good time on this map and I just couldn't. So I spent a couple minutes changing perms and putting shit in the cart and then just dipped.
Sorry to anyone I put out in village but I'm not spending time on a server like this. I would happily dump hundreds and hundreds of hours into a good server meant to last for more than 2 months.

Server is born, people join in, all is well for now, autism is in full swing.
Stage 2: Declining Population (April 28 - May 12)
Barely 2 weeks old and people are leaving left right and center without warning for many reasons, mostly dissatisfied with the way the server was created and handled: disorganized. Just read the thread and you'll see why.
Stage 3: Life Support (May 13 - ??) [CURRENT SERVER STAGE]
With what little people remain in their nearly ghost town like settlements that aren't soloist hermitfags, people start to take on other jobs they may not have wanted to do, taking away time and energy into what their main jobs are.
Stage 4: Death
75%+ of the people have left, don't let the player count fool you, it's mostly just 2 or 3 people with multi boxed windows. There is nothing left to do but to crush all your enemies once and for all.
Just wait another 6 months for a rushed server to start this process all over again.

As a result, all information trickles through to the thread in a slow under-prioritized manner. Input is flatly ignored. Everything needs to go through the discord. The threads are just a way to advertise for the server and nothing more, a step away from being a flat-out shilling thread.
How would this solve anything? Well let's look at the pros and cons of discordfaggotry.

>You can stay in real-time contact with your butt-buddies.
>You can tell when everyone is in game.
>You can invite whoever (8chan? They don't have to know we have a thread on reddit!) you want to play your game and act like they should be grateful.
>You can send your information to the chinks for better targeted advertising.
Cons
>You become inundated with a group of people that have an "identity".
>You lose easy access to archives and get placed behind an access-wall for anyone not using kosher browsers.
>You inherently become associated with circlejerking faggots that refuse input from anyone that doesn't have their hands placed firmly up their self-important asses.
>Filthy round-eyes want to stop people from using your fucking spyware.

But wait, Wurm begs to be botted. That's right, this game was meant to be a grindy fucking shitfest. Why would anyone play it and not bot?
Well that's the problem. You can't have your admittedly shitty tasting cake and eat it too. If you're going to bot, you're going to remove yourself from the "core gameplay" that everyone else needs to endure.
Everyone else enduring that gameplay finds the necessity to band together or hermit it out. This creates a sense of community and allows people to come together and build good shit and feel accomplished while doing it. With hermits, simply fucking surviving is a huge fucking reward. They donate their time and effort into the horrid fucking grind and get some satisfaction knowing that they helped make something fucking great.
Botting puts you above that shit. You get to be at the pinnacle at all times without ever having to lift a finger. Not even having to sleep will fucking stop you. When doing this however you start to ask yourself, what the fuck is the fucking point of playing the game at all? Everything being automated and fucking easy relieves the grind, but you yourself flat out stop playing the game. There is no point to play ever again. That is, no point but getting better at programming bots, which I know some people are breddy good at now. Fen's a cool guy really.
Second let's talk about
Fucking slopes/Fuck your map
Why the fuck. There's such things as plains and fields you euro-italian cucks. I heard Ares on more than one occasion complain about not vetoing the decision to approve of the current map. Fuck, Skub nearly had a heart-attack navigating it. The "effort" behind this map involved putting snow on top of mountains, and apparently everyone in discord loved that shit so they voted for it. Fun fact, nobody's done anything with that snow but look at it and be disappointed about the amount of area that they can no longer settle in.
Third, let's talk about
LACK OF FUCKING MODERATORS
I've seen all of one admin online at any given moment, and that was Ares. The guy wanted to play the game, and yet he had to take up the job alone. "Well there's no rules anyway so why complain about it", you say? Well say there were some rules. Maybe botting isn't acceptable? Or hey, maybe macros earn your settlement a champion troll? Well with no fucking administration, who's going to be there to enforce anything?
Without admins, there also are no events that allow players to turn their attention away from the grind. Yes, the serpent was a fun distraction. Two-headed autist was cool and an adventure for all. Are we going to have events like that in the future? With ALL OF ONE FUCKING ACTIVE ADMIN, who the fuck knows?
Fourth, let's talk about this shit.
LACK OF FUCKING COMMUNICATION
This ties up everything into a fucking cum-colored bow. For fuck's sake. When you're about to release a server, give a time and date. When you're about to make a server change, give a time and date.
