The only good vidya Card Games are the ones not tied to an actual card game. Slay The Spire, Lost Kingdoms, Hand of Fate, etc.
Also, what a garbage remix. I'm sick of this "slow piano with sad woman" trend.

if it's like the Yu-Gi-Oh console vidya where you upon buying the game you can get all the cards, then there's no issue. If it's shit with microtransactions and paid currencies and booster packs (i.e. lootboxes) like Hearthstone or YGO Duel Links it can fuck off.
physical TCGs are basically legalized gambling. the only acceptable way to play card games is by printing your own cards on stock or "proxies" as MtG faggots call them.
875eb3 No.16326968
No money for cards, nobody to play with and don't want to play with randoms online, trading card games evolve and you'd prefer to play it as it was instead of the way it is now. I enjoy playing the Pokemon TCG GBC games and some of the Yugioh games. I like various non-TCG card vidya too, but there aren't very many of them that aren't casino culture oriented. I prefer a comfy feeling like I'm playing with friends after school. Board game vidya can be fun too if done well.

Because the computer can automate plenty of things for you and improve how they are displayed.
I've played plenty of card games and there's always the issue where you have to calculate something like the attack power of a card, summing up all the bonus you have so far, counters and extra cards you played on this turn. It's a chore, especially when you do it frequently (Munchkin is a good example of this)
It gets to a point where you'll start to forget some obscure effect that could give you the difference you needed and it's going to be very sad later on when you remember about it.
Another factor is that with a lot of things being automated, you lose less focus from the game. Netrunner is a pretty cool game but in physical form, it's Token Handling: the card game.
Now if you hop on to Jinteki.net instead, you simply play the cards and every token\variable is updated automatically, letting you focus on your strategy and resources.
Physical card games work when they are something small and simple. The more complex they grow, the more useful a virtual simulation of them becomes.
Not to mention that it's great having a well detailed card of a specific creature or spell, but you know what's even better? A 3D model of that thing in front of you.
3dcbed No.16329715
>>16329412
Jinteki is a fantastic example. I couldn't tell you how many times I forgot to grab a credit from Pad Campaign. And if that wasn't enough, Jinteki will long outlive the actual card game - WotC took back the license for Netrunner and all the cards are out of print. But Jinteki is open source, and will last forever. Even if WotC takes down the site, anyone else can host it.

>Ends After: 7 Wins or 3 Losses (whichever comes first)

1. Accessibility of gameplay
A game assuming it's not a 3rd party sim like YGOpro, duelling book, Xmage there will be a a built in all covering tutorial that would walk someone in carefully.
I didn't know how to play MTG, I got a Arena and went through the tutorial and left with a nice enough idea, same with Cardfight Vanguard and pokemon TCG.
2. Accessibility of product.
Wanna play Yugioh?
Want that one Chaos Danger! Thunder Dragon Deck?
Pay up around $340 for the main deck
another $180 for the extra deck
and anywhere from $50 to $300 for the side deck
Literally cheaper to buy the console with the most recent sim and the game and play that instead.
Wanna play Pokemon TCG?
Picked Expanded?
Zoroark / Executor is $170
Picked Standard?
Buzzwole / Garbodor is $80
Might sound cheaper but unlike YGO these cards exist on a rotation shelf life where they'll get rotated out and made illegal.
Wanna play MTG?
Standard?
Sultai Midrange is consistently over $300 to make and again will eventually get rotated out
A sim gives a level of safety with play, never have to worry about your product being made worthless due to rotation and also usually has single player content that can be used when a friend isn't up to play.
