now I'm no expert on music in fact im pretty low-brow when it comes to it, but I do consider myself an expert on animation. I can say forthwith whether animation is impressive or not and I understand underlying features that others might not perceive of what makes an animation good.
however my thought process on music is extremely simple to where its just, "i like the sound of it". I never studied it, and I never gave it much thought. For example: I don't understand why people think Gwyns theme and cohens masterpiece is good but dearly beloved is just "simple to play weeb music". is it difficulty of the piece? Cause in animation complexity isnt always the better option, sometimes its the tricks that cut corners that makes an animation good. I dunno maybe John Carmack's porn quote could be applied, "it's expected to be there but its not important'".
I hope that music anon who answered my question about pirate music sees this.
