Things like MUH REPRESENTATION are ultimately first-world problems that are perpetuated by people who don't actually go through any legitimate struggles outside of their all-too-common mental illnesses, so they have to create their own problems in order to maintain an illusion of conflict and accomplishment. Add to that the fact that people will effectively be cast out of their communities for going against the norm, and you have a lot of pressure to walk lockstep with them. But at day's end, it's not enough of an issue to regularly attend Diversity meetings on the regular. It's why you see the handful that actually do held up as what are basically tokens.

Comics have always been political and so has gaming since graphics got good enough to draw an iron cross on a wall. Sorry you're such a pleb you believe neutrality exists.
Any where which tolerates deviants will become their nesting ground. Conventions offer excuses to meet up with others who share your sexual desires and hotel rooms to act them out. As more deviants turn up they will demand more and more space is given over to them. Eventually fun novelty events such as charity auctions will turn into straight up prostitution and all the wholesome members will walk out and go else where. Video game conventions have a problem where the audience is so brain dead they won't reject this and until they do PAX will remain.
