Outer Wilds is a game I've been waiting for years now. It's about exploring a tiny, completely hand-crafted solar system that's about to go supernova in one hour. The player is stuck in a time loop, and the goal is to find out what's going on and presumably how to stop the sun from exploding.
I played the demo few years ago, and it was really the comfiest space game I've ever played. And because everything is compact, the team could make every corner of every planet and asteroid interesting. Not only that, but during the 60 minutes several drastic events happen around the solar system so not only is each strange planet a different piece of the puzzle, but they're constantly changing too.

Honestly, it doesn't seem that revolutionary a concept, standard hack & slash in third person with loot as the carrot in the stick.
But from the videos they've shown so far, the mutant powers, the mechs and some of the movement gadgets seem like they'd be quite fun.
I'm also waiting for The Guild 3 turning out to be something decent. Maybe the same thing for Spellforce 3.

Not that many good people are left working at Obsidian and most of the old guard who still works there seems to be completely burned out and out of ideas. I really wanted to like Outer Worlds and I had high hopes for this tittle because Cain and Boyarsky are working on it but it just doesn't click with me. I don't like the world with its rather stereotypical moral conflict of evil to the core corporations bad - a wacky band of quirky rebels good. I don't like the characters who are equally as cliche with a crazy, crazy old scientist and a no-nonsense military chick. I don't like the combat and the art design either. I will pirate it first and maybe I will fall in love with the game when I can actually play it, but right now I'm rather disappointed with what I'm seeing so far from the Outer Worlds.

HoI4 is literally a map painter. Every other mechanic from previous games were stripped from HoI4. Parajew is adding them back as DLC, the last update added fuel for instance. What kind of a WW2 strategy game doesn't have FUEL as a key resource is beyond me.
