Set up a custom team in the options menu first, change your team name, worm names, special weapon, sound bank, flag, and gravestone.
Everyone on WormNet is on #AnythingGoes, ignore the other rooms.
There are three ways to host a game: Manual hosting, WormNAT2, or HostingBuddy. Manual hosting is simple, click Host in the top right, set a room name and password (if you want) and tweak all the options from the menu. If you're going to do it this way, you'll need to forward some ports however.

If you're unable to portforward, use WormNAT2, it uses a reverse proxy system and other computer voodoo to host a game just like manual hosting. Just install the WormKit module and host a game like you would normally. (More on WormKit modules below)

If for some reason you're unable to do either of those, you're stuck with HostingBuddy, a bot that hosts games for you via text commands. It a lot more restricted in what you can and can't do (can't create custom maps, setting up weapons is extremely tedious, etc), but it's simple to use, just use
