We’re creating a video game in RPG Maker VX Ace together with other anons.
Here’s how it works.
Everyone is taking turns downloading the newest version of the game, making contributions before reuploading it for someone else to work on it. Only one person can actively work on it at a time. This is because if two people make overlapping changes to the database, scripts or switches, they will conflict resulting in one person having to redo all their work. Changes to the map and events can be copy-pasted from one version of a project to another so you’re free to work on new maps and new events if its not your turn and add them to the current version of the game once it is your turn.
It should work like this. OP posts newest version of the map. The first person (Anon #1) to respond to OP stating that he’s going to work on it becomes the active game dev. Once Anon #1 finishes and re-uploads it, the first person to respond to him gets to work on it. So on and so forth. Additionally, whenever you re-upload a new version, reply to the anchor post, it’ll make things a lot easier.
General Rules
>Don’t mess with maps, events or anything else you didn’t make. Although, adding minor stuff like a connection between two areas or fixing bugs and typos is all fine.
>If you’re ok with others editing your stuff, leave a note saying so.
>You’re free to add characters and the like, to the inter-dimensional tavern.
>You’re also free to make changes to game settings, unless its something we’ve agreed upon (we’ll probably do this via a poll)

So here they are
The tavern keeper is completely unbeatable as long as he has the Loyalty Spirit, who always protects him when he goes low HP, you have to kill the Loyalty Spirit first, and if you don't, the spirits in the Boss team start to use incredibly powerful skills that will deal both Anon and Alto a lot of damage. This happens when the Tavern Keeper casts "Fake Swing", which alerts all the spirits to his state as the Repentance Spirit Starts Dishing out more damage, the Loyalty Spirit protects him and the Compassion Spirit heals the entire team for a shit ton of damage. The Tavern Keeper casts "Lick Wounds" in this phase for four turns after which he will cast "End Orchestra" which is a skill that ends the alerted state of the spirits. The Loyalty spirit during the "Alerted phase" will be taking all damage that Anon and Alto deal him and then throw it back at them. The Compassion Spirit is a healer, and doesn't do damage and the Repentance Spirit is the main damage per turn dealer of the team besides the Tavern Keeper who should deal damage and buff the other with his abilities. Tavern Keeper abilities in this Boss Fight were supposed to be mostly references to OFF and the battle with Dedan in that game. I had an idea for a mechanic where the Tavern Keeper would cast different kinds of "Fake <Music>" (Which is in reference to Dedan's theme "Fake Orchestra"), which would give the spirits different buffs and abilities, but I only managed to implement the "Fake Swing" which appears only when the Tavern Keeper is taken to low HP, you can try implementing this if you want, but if not, you can put in any other idea you wish. I also didn't implement Alto because honestly I didn't know what skills to give her

MonsterDungeon anon here, I had IRL setbacks and a mix of laziness. All the technical stuff for floor 1 is done, The layout is done for Floor 2, I need to change the graphics of tiles for floor 2's puzzle. I had an idea in regards to a humorous fail state for the puzzle, but I might skip on that so I can at least finish the floor and get on with the next two. Yeah, clock me in at sub 20 hours. I probably shouldn't have made something with the mind of custom map tiles and even then it's not that 'custom'. The majority of them are recolors, some are stepped up with other graphics on the recolor, only a few tiles are actually custom. After I finish the 2nd map and turn in my work, the next two maps will not need that much dedication to custom map tiles. I'll probably stick to a schedule of 1~2 maps per update.
Even then, after the next two maps, There's going to be 2 smaller maps, but that's when the new character is introduced, Not to mention setting up the cutscenes that would take forever to make. Enemy encounters for these maps will not happen until things are setup proper. I also need to setup a boss fight for Teagan's new Cosmic Style when I start on the next two maps.

Monsteranon here, I am now zipping up my edit of the project. There are edits done to the Monsterfarm, 3 new maps, As well as some switches and control variables. I noticed that my maps tend to drop frames, and I think that's because I have so many events. Bit of a shame; I'll have to reduce the amount of events in the next two maps.
If you find any errors, please let me know and I will fix them, and if you think I wrote the characters poorly, let me know what I could fix and/or you can provide dialouge changes here. I'm pushing this out now so that way the other two have the update. I plan on adding more dialouge later.
This is an older version by the way. So whomever is going to merge it to a newer version; you're a trooper. I think I went too crazy with millions of edits in one map, and I'll have to tone it down when I work on the next area.

–Changed the end of the first conversation with albert, he will now remain in the house and tell you that you can check the project out anytime.
–New event that triggers when you do a few quests in GAR village, which leads to the new dungeon. I didn't make any new content in GAR village, I'm basing this off of a value that was already available in there.
DEV ROOM:
–New NPC that handles the events and new area if you want to jump to the new events right there. It's a RedAnon that's below the rows (NPC will change later.)
NEW AREAS:
Dimensional Irregularity
–Three maps made so far, 1st one is an entrance with a small cutscene (This took a bit of time. The 2nd map has under and overpasses, and the 3rd map has an easy puzzle that probably has too many events.
(And I forgot to fix a piece of dialouge at the entrance of the 2nd map, but I can fix that on the merge.)
I apologize I took so long, admittedly my own laziness and IRL got me instead. Also, correcting errors on these event-heavy maps was getting me too. I will have to come up with a work plan that will cut off the tedium when I run into a spot where I have to undo everything.

If it's my dungeon, go to the dev room and speak to the red anon not in the row, 1st menu option, and set the flags for both "already spoke to Albert" and "Monstergirl Scare ON". You need Gondola in the party as well. Head to the monstergirl farm through the catgirl NPC, and get in the house to speak to Albert again. Expect a delay because when the dimensional maps were shoved in, the massive amount of event tiles in the 2nd floor were not converted to a new control variable. I can't mass convert them with a text editor, and there isn't a program that can open them as text properly. I set the control variable to 81 (from 141), so please don't use that one if you have content in mind. I also made an attempt at custom textures. I gotta admit it's harder than I thought, Trying to make it work on a floor tile map is a really nasty deal. The custom tile is the 4th small set of tiles in the middle. i liked the introduction part, and after leaving novidya town (i guess it was my objective? kinda unclear), i fell down the waterfall prior even talking to terry, going up the hill or the normalfag town. so i went back to the dimensional-door-room after the whole ordeal with the gondola village (which i very much enjoyed).
winter chan land:
a bug when i tried to retrieve the loli from funny ancap, my character wasnt able to move after she "joined" the party. the dungeon made me level up to 97 really fast (the slimes/dunno if bug, but i liked it), the story was fun as well. i didnt find anything in the land of the sonic fanfiction tho (i did use the triggers to get there)
after using the ara triggers and walking to the bars of the right, you teleport into another dead end, dunno if intentional.
desert dungeon/forrest style/snake trap boss
really fun, but in the end it made me softlock, having to make new characters. i defeated the boss, walked back to the initial cave i came from, there was a gay demon (?? or smth) there, and i couldnt teleport back to the tavern, and when i left i was teleported to "shit city", without being able to move or see my character.

One thing I learned about this, making custom sprites is a BITCH, especially if they don't use the typical animations for walk cycles. She's supposed to float. And this sprite is going to be a tad larger than 32x32. I just place a ! before the rest of the filename for it to recognize the custom size I want?
I was hoping to keep this a secret, but I was obligated to provide an update on the status. At least making that custom attack for this character was alot easier than I thought. And yes, she's wearing a large, loose white shirt. Trying to make the hair fluffy and chaotic isn't easy with a small work space though.

Main problem I had was that each commit was big enough that each push took like five minutes to do. Also anons had a hard time with git so the project died. The killer of the last version was the fact that anons couldn't into git, (bit understandable), project died quickly. The switch to MV also fucked a lot of things in terms of bugs, and it bloated filesizes (since RPG maker no longer does the rpt thing.)

It's broken. It heavily devalues Heal since both would do the same amount of healing but instead, I'll call it in is free. So I gave it a nerf, it now does '50 + a.mat * 1.25' instead. Good if you need some quick healing but don't have any health items. If it's still shit then it needs a rework.

I would guess that whoever made it intended for it to heal. The animation and the description are both what you get when you copy and paste the attack skill, so I would assume that whoever made it did that and changed it to heal, without looking closely at all the fields for whatever reason. I finished the "debugging" of Regular Town/Happy Park. It is now a fully working map without the insane backtracking and fucking around. I did quite a few tweaks that make the story flow(tm) better.
If the author of the map is still active, just tell me if you want me to revert the changes. All of the original authors content is of course used, and the story is still exactly the same. Also you can now kill Masao in a secret event, and you can go do the 3rd dive to Happy Park with any party you want.

I'm the one who makes Happy Park and i know backtracking combined with the gigantic size of both the floors is a huge fault. I was actually preparing some changes to S1 and S2 myself with my next update, but as i said before i'm currently not in good shape and have to take rests in my bed. Now for my thoughts. I like what you did with Anon's interactions with Masao and Robo-Loli. Playing it again made me realize that i was being too straightforward with both of them, even making Anon too boring and not fun at all. I also liked how you dealt with that fucking corridor and chair sequence. Now i don't have to worry about the scientist event fucking up after finishing the CIA loyalty quest.
Though i think you made Robo-Loli way too expressive so i'll change the parts where she stutters and blushes, and act more stoic and repartee. I think it'll work better when Anon picks up the Gear Key as she says everything in a monotone manner and simply sucks at lying. And why is there a new event page for the dimension door in HP that changes the gate sprite and removes all the parameter changes? That way it completely blocks the usage of Party Crystal, cucking you out of your party and allows the usage of Nigaway 1000 to remove all random encounters. Another thing i found was you can no longer walk over terrain by holding CTRL. I used that a lot to test shit and get out of fucked up teleports.
Good update minus some unnecessary changes. I'll give more attention to dialogues and try to make them not boring exposition dumps next time.

I noticed the difficulty has a drastic spike when comparing Summerfag Village to Mt. Waifu. It also seems to be missing better items in the shops (Morphine, Stimulant, etc.) I should throw those in the shops. I noticed winter-chan land has been cut off as well, and those areas have equipment for anon. I did notice the new port near the northern inn, but Winter-chan Land has no port of their own. I think I'll sneak a new port map into that mapset with the Independence Day update.

My characters were level 19 when I got to Mt. Waifu. The things that stuck out now (Can't access the game at work):
The Fedora goons and their insta-kill can get annoying, I expected this but the lack of stimulants in the shop is annoying. The other goon enemies weren't that much of a threat, thankfully.
Bosses:
Both Bosses in shounen town were difficult. The gimmick with that Hunter boss seems broken; Whenever he says "Here comes Rock", he does paper/scissors instead, or some other effect. The optional boss in that dead skyknight house was fun though, if not another pain in the ass.
Executioners were somewhat difficult, but I might let that slide since they only did physical attacks.
Wreckage Brother/Bane almost had too much power/HP at my party's level. I was chugging items like mad beating him, and good items weren't buyable in the shops at Mt. Waifu.
The D.Nuvo Fight (final): If you didn't have enough HP to keep up, you could easily croak at the beginning. I had to level Anon to 25 to survive properly without items since I ran out of Morphine. This is also a fight that had a 'linked' boss where the stand doesn't die until D.Nuvo dies.
Vidya Thief: Another linked boss that also ate resources. Thankfully he was the only MP drain enemy that I met, and I had a good supply of the daily dose to keep up the MP costs.
I will say that the boss fights were definitely fun and challenging, but I wonder if the difficulty spike is because the other characters are lacking. CIA and Anon were the real heavy hitters. Teagan lacks a standard attack to gain SP, and the Shadow Gene skill Shadow Bolt doesn't gain SP at all. She also seems underpowered from the rest of the group, and the standard fist skills she learns did less damage than shadow bolt. Gondola's healing became extremely important, especially when he learns raise at 20.
Then there's the case of Teagan's skill tree, which is inaccessable? I see the map data, but there's no entry point? That could have really helped her.

ANother thing about Mt. Waifu is that the standard goons don't give Exp. All the other enemies do but very little. Only the bosses or one-time enemies give a shitton, but that's it. The damage formula for their instakill is just b.mhp, so if you guard on the first turn it won't one-shot anyone (although it will still hurt.) This is never explained in-game though, maybe add dialogue or at least a bestiary entry. Something like

You have four characters, so the best way to get through is have Anon use Meme Magic, CIA use Tackle, and the other two Guard. Zoom Punch has a good chance to stun him even if he isn't using Rock, so when a character inevitably goes down, it can buy you time to use Healing Wave.

He's meant to be quite hard. I forget if it was explained, but when his Wreckage Brothers form up to surround, you have to hit them with physical attacks so they can't inflict the Surrounded state. However, they sometimes use Evasive Movement the turn before, so you absolutely have to take them down as fast as possible with Gondola's Fire II and Teagan's Darkness. If you do that, stay under Spirit's Blessing and the attack buff from Meme Magic, and remember to stun Baldman whenever he is Enraged, it's possible to win pretty consistently with no items or grinding.
>D. Nuvo
(((Copyright Law))) and Starlight is a deadly combination, but if you can get 『Digital Rights Management』's HP below 75% it won't use Starlight anymore. D. Nuvo and his stand also have no dark resistance, leaving them open to a combo: Equip Gondola or Teagan with the Map to Hell, use Strong Fireball, then Nightmare the next turn. This will deal 80% of their mhp, and only recover 40% over 4 turns.
>Vidya Thief
Stuns and other restrictions like confusion will remove Shrouded (but good luck applying them). It's better to concentrate on defending yourself at that point. The Vidya Thief and his stand are both vulnerable to physical and magical damage when they're in the Compensation phase, so save your strongest attacks for then.

I think a straight nerf to the Shrouded state would be better. Right now it gives 75% evasion and magic evasion, and 50% resist to a bunch of states. Maybe remove the resist entirely, and change the evasion to 60 or 50 percent.
