Idea: Don't use Windows 10? You'd have better luck with drivers if you snooped around a forum specifically for racing games, since that kind of autism congeals and produces extremely specific results.

Don't know if this helps but I could get older drivers working by literally taking them and copy and pasting them in the drivers library

Enterprise LTSC is good but if you can into gpedit and manual driver installation windows server datacenter is better because it doesn't do forced updates and they can't introduce it.

You don't even need any drivers apart from your display driver and possibly joystick drivers.

Printer, mouse, keyboard, USB, SATA, ethernet, wifi, sound are all in the kernel. Most additional stuff is just placebo.

The vast majority of servers in the world run Linux for a reason. Even if most people don't like to work in Linux, nobody can deny its production utility and stability compared to most proprietary systems.

I use Linux on my home machines because it keeps me fresh for work, because I spend all day supporting Unix systems. Using Windows is a pain for these kinds of things. Programming is also far more comfortable in a Unix system.

I do recognize it's not for everybody, but people are fools if they really believe you can truly hide all of Windows spying and instability, not to mention decades of stupid compatibility shit for horribly fucking backwards compatibility (like System32 being 64-bit and SysWOW64 being 32-bit). It's a fundamentally fucked-up OS from a fundamentally fucked-up company. I understand why people use it, but it's pathetic coming from people who purport to be more tech savvy and paranoid about being spied on, censored, and controlled. With Windows, you have to say "Yes, I realize I'm being constantly spied on and I can't suppress all of it, but it's worth it to not have to learn something new." Some people can accept that, but I expect better from the paranoid the-end-is-near fags that roam this place.
