I hear the Atelier ports are crap on every level too (not to mention that they require significantly better hardware than the games ought to need).
Hell, they used the Vita models and textures instead of the PS3 ones for every single version of the remaster.
You know, remasters and remakes don't sound like such a bad thing on paper, but the more time moves on the more I am convinced that you should never ever bother with them.
There are so few games that were redone well and that got issues fixed instead of creating new ones, it's embarrassing that this trend is somehow still going.

I looked forward to this game as a kid, it became a 3rd person mess with !>broken melee
>broken aiming
>projectiles/grenades crashed the game
>loading a cat into a rocket launcher crashes the game
>going into a cutscene broke all the textures and you had to save/load after every cutscene
it had all the postal humor and violence I loved, burried under an overpriced heap of bugs.
thankfully there are mods to make it somewhat stable.
