I hate the scoring system in bayonetta, what was the fucking bald man was thinking, getting hit barely matters it's all about dropping your 'combo', you can't soft reset gaining score, so you abuse the fact that you can spam retarded moves to bump up the multiplier but that's fucking stupid because you kill the dumb enemies before doing so and it's better to actually taunt non-stop (dones't REQUIRE AN ENEMY OR CLOSE PROXIMITY TO KEEP COMBO) and abuse your FREE slow motion non-stop, shoot non-stop because it does jack shit damage on top of keeping your combo. THIS IS FROM THE SAME GUY WHO MADE DEVIL MAY CRY 1 AND DECIDED THIS SHIT SCORING SYSTEM WAS BETTER, WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK!

Seems fine to me, not too frustrating, but still challenging that I get hit a couple times. Again, I'm not the best at the game, so that's definitely a factor. I can see how it can be a bit forgiving for someone who plays well, though. I'm pretty sure DMC wasn't too different, since I got to the point where I was very rarely hit in those games, especially 3.

The graphics could definitely be much better but it's clear that it's a Vita port. The gameplay and AI are ass but the whole package was entertaining enough for me to finish.

You're scored on combo, time and damage taken. Combo score is entirely on you; it's not reset on hit and it's very easy to spam shitty moves constantly and get a platinum. It's seperate on purpose. If you're getting smacked around like a bitch and wasting time shooting at everything you're getting lower time and damage scores.

So after playing with the DOA5 Last Round Core Fighters, I found it to be more enjoyable than I had expected albeit a tad "messy" in regards to gameplay. I was thinking of getting either a physical copy of it or Dragon's Crown for just under $15 for my birthday next week and maybe get whichever one I didn't buy the week after. Which should I spring for first?

If you're going to bother with dead or alive 5 core Fighters oh, you should probably just get a torrent of the Tecmo 50th Anniversary Edition that has all the DLC included. It's for PC, I don't think anything like that came out for the consoles physically which is a big bummer. Dragon's Crown is probably worth it regardless of whatever platform you buy it for. They're all good games
