You're right, but it is difficult to find much at all about the correlation between makeup and promiscuity. Leon has way better guns than Claire.

Shotgun is better than crossbow by far, deals more damage and has more knockback.

Magnum is better than grenade launcher, takes less space and has more knockback.

Even Leon's handgun is better than Claire's.

And that goes for the basic weapons, once you upgrade them they hands down the best weapons in the game by a huge margin, the super magnum can one shot almost everything and the super shotgun can clear 3 zombies easily and one shot a lot of enemies.

Crossbow has shit damage, no knockback, only able to down one zombie at close range IF the 3 bolts hit (and there is a chance the zombie survives), it sucks hard against lickers (unlike the shotgun) the only good thing is that its silent and there is a chance lickers not hearing it and not becoming aggresive.

The grenade launcher has less aoe than supershotgun, similar aoe to regular shotgun, way less damage than magnum and only acid grenades can down lickers in one shot, flame grenades dont have knockback and are only useful against the plants.

Yes, it also doesn't help that they're mapping the facial animations from the voice actors instead of the actual models themselves, if things aren't remapped properly that creates an even weirder looking face during speech sequences. The problem is that the RE2 remake (and from the looks, DMCV) shy away from an idealized (ie. anime) aesthetic and goes for a more realistic aesthetic instead. Claire isn't even purposefully ugly like the Bioware freakshows we are used to make fun of. She's a 6/10 average college girl in appearance, which is incidentally what she is supposed to be canonically.

I'm just making an observation about the aesthetics of the RE2R and how jarring it looks for us, people that have a preference/are used to idealized aesthetics. You don't need to be so defensive about it, I'm also not a huge fan, but unfortunately normalfags seems to like realistic aesthetics a lot and find idealized aesthetics yucky/uncomfortable (see their hatred/hostility for anime, which is "idealization: the medium).
