As a child we all watched movies like Willow. A midget goes on a quest to save the world and gets caught up in all sorts of mischief. Gaming is the perfect way to create such a grand adventure, but which games do it best? Sci fi, fantasy or even realistic is fine, just recommend something that feels like an adventure and not just fetch quests or wandering around aimlessly to find dungeons.

I think slimming down to a genre would help, there's quite a lot of games that attempt to do that in many way. RPGs like Arcanum and Icewind Dale, or straight up adventure games. I mean it could be everything from Deponia to say Mass Effect.

Wizards&Warriors, my favorite RPG ever. The atmosphere is just off the charts. I've mentioned this game here many times, but now that it got a GOG release recently, hopefully it will gain the recognition it deserves.

The willow arcade game is awesome.

Genre doesn't matter. It's that sense of adventure that games now lack.

Of all the games I've played, the grandest save the world one has to be xenoblade chronicles. You must know before going in, though, that the side content is pure bullshit busywork that should be ignored. Just stick to the main quest.

OP, are you looking for point and click adventure games or grand RPGs? Lands of Lore 1&2 might make you happy as far as biggish RPGs go. The Ultima series is legendary for being enormous too.
As far as point&click games go, you've got so much shit to choose from that it's difficult to narrow down exactly what you're looking for. Fate of Atlantis like >>16064536 posted is a big game that does a fantastic job of creating a sense of globe-trotting. The broken sword series kind of does something similar. I've always found the sierra games to be pretty good at that sense of scale too, just be ready for tons of bullshit unless you are extremely thorough and patient.

How exactly does one properly force undesirables to abandon a fanbase or community? Just curious as to how exactly that went down.

Glad they seem to have stayed out of the Wild Arms base, unless they're the ones that push Virginia and Maya (though they're from a PS2 entry, and a game that more or less avoids any romantic subplots entirely).

Actually watching it, I guess that fact that it was only a couple people and someone putting faces with names to their tale would make it easier to get them to fuck off than trying to remove an entire subculture of hundreds or thousands of the fanbase. Though, given how one seems to have so easily jumped into having been a different character from a different series, one has to question their devotion in the first place, like the seasonal waifufag.
Also was expecting them to just be dyke doing shipping shit. That was a whole different level of retarded.
