Not possible in the long term. Taxation is essentially predicated on socialism, so any group of people who receives their pay from public funds must eventually be composed of left-leaning people. To be fair, I kind of remember why I started to fucking hate Japanese shit in the 6th generation after replaying .hack GU recently. Boring repetitive gameplay loops, cheap minimalistic production covered up with FMV cutscenes, and stories that went batshit insane - but not in the good way, with over-designed stupid looking characters acting completely serious and resolving the whole mess through the power of friendship which can create miracles of the heart.
Yeah, this obviously didn't apply to all Japanese games - and the story/art trends extended way beyond games and into manga and anime of the time too. It wasn't until the mid-7th generation that this fad started to die out and Japanese games started to become fun again. You even started to openly see games mock these old trends - like Infinite Space for the DS having the main character count on teamwork and believing in themselves to carry them through a major battle - only to get his waifu and mentor killed, his fleet wrecked, his crew scattered, and spending the next 10 years fighting niggers on a prison planet. Even today, Valkyria Chronicles 4 starts off with a jab at those old trends when Claude starts lamenting how even the flowers and the power of the heart and Raz cuts him off by telling him basically to shut the fuck up and file his after battle report so they could go get drunk. And the whole thing is then dropped like a dumb idea, because it is.
