Games like Front Mission on PC?
Alternatively, what's the best PS1 emulator for Front Mission 3? I saw that some emulators are better at 3D and some are better for 2D, but this game heavily employs both

Front Mission 3 is one of the games epsxe can't emulate without a command line, and even with that command line there is a specific route in the game that bugs the fuck out. Otherwise epsxe is entirely dependent on the right plugin setups with the final version not even being compatible with older plugins so some games work better with 1.5.2 or 1.7.8

I've been able to work around most issues I've come across. ePSXe with any sound plugin i could find HAETs games with multiple .bin files. So like a true autist, I went through and manually combined the games with multiple .bins into a single .bin each. this fixed the audio problems. Blood Omen, as mentioned, is extremely annoying to run properly in most emulators. Either the sound will be fucked, or the UI will be fucked. that one in particular i use retroarch for, though I hate its interface.

use something to mount the cue file, then something like imgburn to rip it as bin, itll have all the tracks in it still, just one single file.

A front end the manages to make perfectly working emulators extremely bloated in performance.
27abb4 No.16029770
>>16029756
That's because of increasing internal resolution people insist on doing. If people kept it at just the lowest resolution which stops pixels from turning into that weird stretched appearance for their monitors, not just in RetroArch but pretty much all psx emulators, it would stop causing so many problems for people. Some exceptions which might never be resolved for specific emulators and Rom combinations aside of course.

Do you think I restrict my comment to just PS1 emulation? Retroarch is a bloated piece of shit that can somehow manage to make even NES games run terribly.
