Use the program wireshark to find what IP's ETS2 pings or contacts and then block them in the windows hosts file. If you don't know what wireshark is or what a hosts' file is then google it all. Also delete your thread and delete that botnet and shit game.

I'm not even Australian. When I'm running the game in offline mode, I don't see why it should be using any online connectivity at all. I've never bothered with multiplayer and haven't used the workshop yet.

First off check if it's actually using your bandwidth just to be sure (the integrated resource monitor is good enough for that)

Use a firewall and prevent it from connecting

Use an external QoS manager and throttle it

Find what IP it's connecting to and filter those

It may be uploading your current position/stats etc, which is probably choking your connecting with such low speeds. You could grab Tinywall which is a really efficient and easy to use windows firewall controller, and block the game.

It would work if the game code is hostnames, if you know the hostnames you can point them to localhost. But it's easier and more appropriate to block the game in the firewall.

ETS2 definitely shouldn't be using 5MBit worth. Even if it was uploading every single thing you do in the game, plus running a music stream ingame, it's still not enough to choke that connection.

Is your computer shit? Have you checked for viruses, not necessarily related to ETS2? Use Resource Monitor and Wireshark to see what's doing what.
