I do play it. It is fairly good for MMO standards, but it is also rough on the edges.
>Better combat than any other TES game
It better have. It wasn't that difficult. It is also "unique" regarding MMO, considering the game is based around manual targeting (game is fairly generous with the tracking, but you still have to aim), and almost no skill has cooldowns, which means you are just fighting your own resources (stamina or mana) for the continued use of skills. Knowing how to not spam is part of the key to success. The other is "weaving" (animation-cancelling techniques) your rotation.
>Quest comparable to Skyrim's
Some of them even have marginally more difficult and varied puzzles than Skyrim, so I consider them to be superior. Other than that, it has pretty standard TES quests, and they play almost exactly like the main games. A shame they are mechanically useless, with low rewards, because they are fairly entertaining.
<Brain dead mechanics in dungeons
Outside of DLC dungeons and some specific raids, mechanics consist of:
- Tanks: taunt and shield machine.
- DPS: play out your rotation. Dodge from time to time
- Healer: play out your rotation, but with team awareness.
They are all pretty easy and casual, unless you go into DLC dungeon territory, in which some mechanics go balls to the wall.
>Easy levelling, but sky high ever increasing XP cap
>Fairly strategic objective-based PvP (that is, Cyrodiil, not Battlegrounds)
<Absolutely fucktarded unbalanced PvP, specially Battlegrounds
Battlegrounds was designed for DPS. They go as far as throwing in mechanics that prevent tanks and healers from being useful or even getting points at all.
<Annoying crafting system that requires you to wait real time for stuff to research. It is also simplistic as shit.
>Equipping yourself is easy, and most decent sets can either be bought for very cheap in guild stores, or obtained easily by farming the dungeon it drops in
<Dungeon farmed sets are account bound. You have to farm them yourself. Fortunately, it is fairly easy.
>Decent build variety. Doesn't really fall into the cookie cutter builds issue most MMO have, or at least for tanks.
>Really nice and helpful community
>Guild system is actually fairly cool. You can have up to five account-based guilds, and each of them can bid weekly for a guild shop in a town.
<Fucktarded mount system
>Game isn't really P2W, unless you consider the ESO Plus bag to be P2W you are in your right to do so, inventory management is a pain in the ass otherwise.
<Shit boring events that feel like a chore. Specially the Christmas event. Holy shit was it boring.
