Now, if they completely ditched the modern segment, the indjun wewuz angle, the templars and fixed the combat so there are no hard level zones or retarded shit like rams on frigates. But that might as well be a new game then. I'd rather recommend Gloriana or Uncharted Waters to someone.

I played the shit out of the Pirates of the Caribbean game that was actually a rebranded Sea Dogs 2. It's a slav game through and through, so expect a lot of jank, but overall it's a pretty fun ride. Also, your options for fucking around aside from the main quest are a bit limited since there's almost no side quests, but getting rich through mercenary work, piracy or trade while steadily upgrading your flotilla can be rewarding as hell.

The music is really comfy, embed related.

I considered buying one on the sequels on GoG because they were discounted to about 2€ each, but I didn't because I'm too busy with Kingdom Come right now.

Also, Tropico 2. I heard it flopped, but I really liked it back in the day.

The only two single player pirate games I know are Black Flag and that futa VN. It's a pretty dry market out there, lad.

"Pirates! Gold" is pretty much up there.

What might be missing might be fleet management, but we'll be getting into another kind of game (that I like) which is basically starting with just (you) and some old shack, then end up with an army in Outer Heaven.

So part action by yourself, and part management. That might be interesting for development afer my few projects I guess.

So yeah, the pirating part in these games is just a fun side activity. Technically even Kingdom Come or Witcher the first uncucked one that is qualify for this.

Archeage was pretty neat when it came to boating. Players can gather resources and turn them into trade packs which they would need to take to another location to make money. The further you went, the more money. Me and my friends would get onto a pretty shitty boat that had a harpoon on it that could grab onto other boats and pull them in. Had lots of fun using that harpoon for other reasons.

This was horrible for fishers since they needed to use bait and then sit there for awhile for a fish to bite like irl. You could just ram them to fuck them up but launching them way into the air was just so satisfying.

I personally enjoyed the not prince of persia one way back when. Though I'd probably hate my life if I replayed it now. There's also a module for the Neverwinter Nights if that's your thing but I don't believe the second part ever came out.
