The game has actual different mechanics and is less number heavy due to it's nature. Also no Fog of War. Again, boardgames are outdated and are superior when computerized. Weekly Board Game Nights at the FLGS, the boom of just about every TCG, and the boom in modern RPG, all combined with the slow death of local co-op means that tabletop is the most common activity amongst people(normalfags) you'd actually want to spend time with.

Some lady "somehow" (most likely sleeping with someone important) found herself having a huge influence on the direction of Fire Emblem Fates and Awakening despite never working on the series or even liking it. Good maps designs are too complex for her, so make everything a boring flat field. Needs more emphasis on anime tropes instead of believable characters. She had a hand in the awful plots of Awakening and Fates which didn't make any damn sense when it comes to what they were building up in the plot. The old games were too hard for her so we get "Phoenix Mode" which completely kills one of the main mechanics of the game, perma-death.
She also had a hand in Sm4sh and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. That would explain the Sm4sh FE characters everywhere and TMS being the shitshow it was (though I doubt it would have been good without her). Funny enough, many people enjoyed FE Echoes and that didn't have her behind the wheel. If she's behind the newest Fire Emblem for the Switch, there's no chance it will succeed. She seems to be the big bang of everything wrong with Fire Emblem today.

From what I've read Miyamoto has said that he doesn't think there's anywhere else to go with f-zero, so there's no point making another one. Although if that was truly his design philosophy I would question why there are so many Mario games that haven't really innovated since Mario 64. Personally i think there is some truth in that, gx is the most remembered F-Zero game(unlike gp legend and climax) and the one everyone expects a new f-zero to surpass, except what truly made gx that good wasn't nintendo, it was sega.Especially seeing how Amusement Vision was lead by Toshihiro Nagoshi(Virtua Racing,Daytona Usa).I also remember reading that Miyamoto didn't like working with Nagoshi or the sega staff but don't know if true or not.
The only thing we can expect of Nintendo alone is a mediocre f-zero game(lead by Miyamoto) or some light remake of the original, which would mean bad reception.
If they truly wanted a new F-Zero they could get Sumo Digital or a similar studio but they probably don't see any reason to make a new one.Being honest i would be happy with just a simple F-Zero that has the same gameplay as the original or the portable one.Even if it is made for mobile gayming or digital only.
