>Multi map large scale, asymmetrical military game
>Two armies have one large base, 3 forward operating bases and there are locations that can be captured to turn into new bases for either side
>One life per player no respawns like battlefront or something
>The goal is defeat the enemy army over various objective based games
>The twist here is that there is a 3rd much smaller team thats a MGS style team of tacticool operators that can move as a unit and dig in ala Rainbow Six or deploy lone skilled operators to take out important objectives and sow carnage like Solid Snake in operation intrude
>How does the team commander deal with the news of a FOB going completely dark before the other army makes a move? or a single survivor runs back into base to report a group of shadowy people in sneaking suits took out his unit and one of the enemys INNAWOODS with no survivors but him and they vanished afterwards
>How do you adjust your teamwork when you start to roll out the heavy artillery only for it to explode due to sabotage that could only done in your main base, and do you make a big push when its clear your opposition are in a mad panic in their own base looking for one of the 3rd teams sabotage specialists.

HEY CHINA MAN. I want a RTS builder + hack n slash + shooter FPS in 1 GAME which feels good.
That means when I play the hack n slash portion, it feels like a hack n slash.
When I switch to the shooter potion, it feels exactly like a good shooter game.
I switch to real-time strategy then it feels like a goddamn real-time strategy like Empire Earth, Starcraft, Warcraft (meaning differing styles of RTS)
When I switch to comfy rp building then it feels like I'm playing Stronghold, Space Colony, Minecraft or Terraria with the comfy ass building.
How fucking hard is it to place at the very least 2 designs/styles in 1 game? let alone 12-24 substyles like I mentioned just now? HOW FUCKING HARD IS IT?

>still implying anyone would develop such game
>implying the AI wouldn't be abysmal
>implying it wouldn't get boring after a couple rounds
sorry, not only is it impossible, it's also a bit of a shit formula. multiplayer and stealth don't mix well unless you give the stealthing player literal magic powers like being able to turn invisible or making no noise whatsoever since even a dumb as fuck person has 10x the detection capabilities of the most advanced AI in any stealth game ever. on top of that the fact you want the game to be asymmetric would most likely make it unfair for one side.
ironically enough, your best bet would be larping with a bunch of friends of yours in whichever AAA battlefield clone trash with capture zones has a good player base nowadays. stealth in non-stealth multiplayer games works the same in every game.

Strange Aeons did some of this in its own way, to the point where it felt like a new game and not just a Doom mod, but you can only do so much, even with GZDoom's OpenGL renderer.
Bloodborne also hit the spot fairly well, but it still didn't quite explore the eldritch shit enough. If we ever get a spiritual successor with a much bigger world to fuck around in, I expect that'd satisfy me.

A sandbox adventure/action/dungeoneering/simulation game with a few survival elements and a loosely blocky or vaguely cube-like anime art style.
>0.5m block scale, player is 4 blocks tall and ~2 blocks wide
>world is a finite, massive disc around 24km in diameter, composed primarily out of mass gathered around a gigantic crystal in the center of the world
>crystal emits a titanic torus-shaped field around itself similar to a magnetic field which sustains life, heat, drives the weather, etc, serves as much of the world's foundation; hotter in the center of the torus, coldest nearest the crystal and around the mountainous rim
>the game world is split between several of these massive crystal discworlds (earthlike, cold, barren mars-like, one on the verge of collapse with a crystal on its last legs, etc) and classical infinite planes (hell itself or the home of otherworldly nightmares)
>game's progression is a mix of Terraria's hack-and-slash murdering powerful enemies and development of elaborate bases or towns, globally simulates factions and nations across the map, invasions from hell, enslaved and limited machine intelligences try to attack human settlements, eldritch otherworldly spreading corruption that resembles molten tar shows up too
>most if not all game mechanics are acknowledged and have effects on the world (i.e. villages recognize the abilities that the player character has)
I've written up some really dumb and autistic lore justifying and going into detail about all sorts of aspects of this stupid wishful thinking of mine, and none of it will ever come to fruition. And all of it initially stemmed from that simple idea, that I wanted a block-based sandbox/simulation construction game that used a block scale smaller than 1^3m.

But now I also want ability to become religious/leadership figure like Joan D'arc and actually unite a country to do my beading like zealots.
Also for just more ways to play a game. In Warband becoming a richest person on the planet is part of every playthrough more than a goal. Buying Dyeworks is simply so easy you do it every time and at the same time it is pretty much extend of stuff you can do as a trader.

Higher difficulty doesn't just mean cranked up health and damage. It means
>More objectives, meaning you have to explore more of the level and potentially fight more enemies in a wider variety of situations.
>Enemies have the same health and damage, but aim better and faster, so your mistakes get punished much harder.

Game where you're lost in fantasy forest, can't see far away because so many trees and bushes and shit, no map or minimap or any other helping hand. Gameplay is similar to Legend of Zelda, except it's open ended and the goal is to find a way out of the forest rather than complete dungeons or whatever. Besides combat there's also a light survival element, you have to find food to at least motivate you to keep moving, but it's very mild and hard to fail in.
The idea is that you can easily get lost and have no idea where the fuck you are or where you're supposed to go towards, and will run into various things in the forest.
Biomes vary but generally fit the forest theme; normal forest, tropical amazon-like forest, rivers, ancient overgrown ruins, inaccessible canyons with a crazy tree branch zone with multiple layers going above it, mysterious tower with loot in it, etc.

Similar to MGSV funnily enough. In a nutshell, its the ultimate version of what MGSV could be. All out action-stealth game.
>Setting is probably science fantasy
>Open world stealth
>Massive freedom for missions and tasks
>Cover, line of sight, stances (standing, crouch, prone etc.), sound, distractions and disguises
>Lots of weapons and tools for tactical depth, guns for TPS and melee weapons for action
>Base building mechanic returns but you also have an operations base in the zone/map of where you are
>Speaking of maps/zones, several large maps that are separate from one another for world variety
>Proper world, flora and fauna, guard camps, stations, villages, rebels, villagers etc.
>Mission depth allows you to ghost, lethal kill, non-lethal, disguise, go undercover, ask around town, recon, use your squads to create diversions
Here's when things get really good:
>Similar to MGSV you have a prosthetic arm with a bunch of uses and gimmicks; grapple hook, transform into weapons like swords, clubs and shields, gun, detach the arm for diversions and distractions, hold enemies hostage and even detach arm to pin them down
>Operations base is like the Scarab from Halo, a mobile tank
>Can have it stationary or roaming the map, attack camps, save hostages
>PvP mechanic of players invading with their base, can ruin your missions or catch you off guard
>Camp battles are like swashbuckling fights on the high seas, the giant walker tanks marching side by side, gunfire from both, soldiers launching across

So I'm going to repeat one of the ideas I had posted on here one maybe someone will make my dream game into reality
>Seemingly a typical fantasy CRPG, maybe with an anime-esque stylistic
>You have to defeat the evil Dark Lord who threatens the land and wants to put all under his tyranical rule.
>You go through several locations while meeting friends, doing sidequests and plotpoints like you would in a normal RPG.
>But during that a timer is slowly ticking in the background, of which you have completely no idea.
>This timer actually makes the game completely unbeatable at certain point and you are actually constantly racing with time, though you have no idea of it.
>The timer works as following, after enough time has passed, certain generic NPC's lines get replaced with bizarre sentences that sound like insane talk, NPCs talking about changes in the gameworld that do not happen, with cryptic clues about things that do not exist and general creepy shit. Some start talking about migraines and other weird symptoms.
>Next some of the NPCs start disappearing and appearing in places that they shouldn't be. Remember the smith you're seeing every so often to sell your shit? Well for some reason now he's standing in the field gazing into the stars as if he was completely mad, but after talking with him he starts selling you things normally.
>After some time, the enemies start getting more powerful, and weirder, more bizarre in design. Getting more and more unpleasant, the party members start to actually comment on that.
>Some of the NPCs start getting completely fucking insane, yelling about the end of the world, blocking your path to some of the quests. Some of them start dying mysteriously or killing themselves. Party members are now commenting on the weirdness and the creepiness of the situation and talking about needing to find a way out.
>Places that used to be safe are not anymore, monsters start besieging important locations slowly spreading their influence, getting constantly weirder and harder to beat. The locations start changing themselves and become more twisted and disgusting, like something from a horror game.
>Plot important characters start dying and going insane, everything accelerates from now on, the locations get more fucked up, crepy, the monsters start getting absolutely disgusting, maybe they even start breaking the game itself, for example by moving during the active pause or shutting down parts of your UI.
>Even if you survive this long, your party members start cracking, going insane, killing each other and dying in horrendous ways.
>It turns out that an eldritch abomination is slowly eating the world, turning it into a living nightmare from which there is absolutely no escape, everything gets corrupted, and eventually you will die and lose, but during the period you are able to gather clues that tell you that by bringing a specific item to a character at a start of the new playthrough, you are able to go a completely different route where you learn about the eldritch abomination before it's too late.
>You are thrown into a new quest from a new playthrough if you do the thing that was hinted at in the first one, you will learn about the terrifying truth and that there is absolutely no stopping the end of the world from happening.
>This said, you now know that the Dark Lord has an artifact that allows you to escape to a different world.
>You go through the same locations but now do different storylines, you also learn about different way to slow the timer down, the new quests uncover some unpleasant truths about the places you visit and often actually have you working with the enemies you've killed in the first playthrough.

>The rebels that you've helped against a tyranical king? Actually descendants of an old nation that worshiped the eldritch abomination and conduct human sacrifices. The tyrant was actually keeping them in line.
>The evil corrupt official that was killing people behind everyone's back? Knew about the eldritch abomination and hoped that by conducting human sacrifice he could stave it off He was right.
>Every quest you do pushes the apocalypse a bit further back allowing you to complete the main questline and fight the Dark Lord.
>After the Dark Lord you get his artifact and get into the final dungeon of the game, which is filled with eldritch enemies not the game breaking kind though and bizarre architecture, your characters can still get insane or die here.
>The entire dungeon is a connection between the world that you use to get to the next world.
>If you are good enough, you can save all of your party members and have a semi-happy ending where you all get into the new world.
>This is only a bittersweet ending, because the families of your friends, their nations, and the entirety of their world is still getting fucked to no end, absolutely destroyed, and there is nothng you can do about it.
>You can technically defeat the Dark Lord in time, if you rush the game enough, but that doesn't stop the destruction of the world though it probably gives you something cool for your next playthrough for being good enough.

>Set in a distant future on a remote planet, recently terraformed and colonized by humans. Lots of sci-fi architecture and almost cartoony geography.
>Plot revolves around cyborgs becoming outlawed in favor of kosher, government-regulated DNA mods.
>Plot branches out differently depending on which missions you give priority.

>Axe chops wood and lets you grab higher up ledges with the beard of the axe
>Sword deals with enemies, vines, webs, and lets you slow fall on certain walls
>Grappling hook helps you climb up and cross gaps
>Shield blocks attacks and hazards, also lets you slide across hazardous slopes
>Branches eventually require different combinations, like an axe ot chop a tree down to make a bridge but then a net of webs blocks the way deeper down
>You need to return to the last town to change items, some blocks reset
>All about collecting secrets and hidden things to progress, usually in the vein of helping the local town
>Doing so helps upgrade your tools and bag to allow more variety
>Momentum based movement so creative use of tools can allow you to bypass needing other ones
>So ride down a slope on a shield and up a ramp to jump over a rock normally needing the pickaxe
>Enemies are rare and dangerous, but can be beaten with one tool other than the sword
>Bosses are glorified timed puzzles, each having a way to swap to a certain tool or set of tools in the fight by using the environment

I'd love to see a game within the cold war.
I liked spore 1 and how the advancement worked.
Something like that but not too unrealistic, futuristic or fantastic.
I just watched the 3 new star wars movies and it would be pretty cool to start as a scavenger on a planet, working your way to get more money, fame and doing some quests for the locals.
Then stealing or buying or whatever, getting a ship, going to explore the galaxy…
I imagine trying to make money by doing trade runs and stuff, (kind of like in warband map mode).
Then hunting down or fending off bandits and space pirates. Earning experience, gathering and lvling up a crew.
Eventually building a fleet of my own, growing it larger, giving missions to ships, getting famous or infamous.
Heck, why stop there, end up rising your own empire and being in charge of multiple fleets.
Opportunities to join the war would arise at some points. I'd imagine you could choose a side, both sides would offer some bonuses and penalties.
One could join the war and become a soldier and work their way up from there inside the army.
But perhaps you'd want to advance your trading empire and join a side or support them, in order to open up new trade routes and deals.
It shouldn't be as simple as good vs bad, but instead, the choices you make should be towards your goals or advancements in your skills/fleet/empire.
One could play the game as a shooter and never get into strategy and fleets and stuff.
Explore the galaxy and find it's deepest secrets and most extraordinary wonders.
Join an academy and train to become as a sith or a jedi apprentice, to increase your
power and abilities and use them for good, evil or achieving your own desires.
Maybe mainly play as a trader and don't get involved in conflicts at all. Maybe build your
own fleet and play as a master strategist. Maybe scavenge and explore the vastness
of space. Maybe follow up on rumors and complete quests and help others achieve
their goals.

My idea game is a fantasy game with settlement kingdom management
>start out a nobody, not just story wise, but physically you’re weak, pathetic, the average low tier monsters/creatures in the world can kill you if you’re not careful and act stupid
>end up in this desolate piece of shit in the middle of nowhere, maybe start with an old castle and an abandon town, castle starts out run down and your home inside is a fireplace in one room
>have to actually survive, meeting your food, water, and sleep needs. Healing takes time and is not instantaneous giving you an appreciation of every action you take
>explore a bit, slowly growing stronger, clear the castle of some low tier creature, explore town, have to hide when powerful monsters come in, but slowly your making progress, hiring mercenaries who will contract for a certain length of in game time and will not risk their lives for some shit coin is a good starting method
>as you grow stronger you are able to assert your control over the area by clearing off monsters, till you finally have a decent footing and thing start to move in and pay taxes
>First you’re running a small town where you can add improvements, protecting farmers, as you progress you soon can afford a guard regiment, weak, but now you don’t have to chase off giant rats every day
>Second phase you’re expanding the town, the castle is fully furnished and you get your first taste of politics, simplistic stuff not current year issues, this is medieval times shit, you own the land and don’t give a flying fuck what people do provided they follow your law
>more different races start moving in, you have to deal with their differences. Kill them, drive them away if you want, enslave them if it pleases you, but everything you do has a sensible reaction. You might notice people quietly leave as they’re not going to challenge the tyrant, but you’ll notice slowly a trickle in of people who want to live in a security over freedom environment and will hear them telling people off regarding your exploits “those stupid dwarves should have known not to try and steal anon’s minerals, now they can work off their debt in anon’s mines.”
>eventually have low tier relations with neighboring nations
>end game is uncovering some mystery about the land story wise and dealing with incursions and wars gameplay wise
Basically Ni No Kuni, but not childish and combined with some decent rpg action.

A complete re-imagining of Final Fantasy 1 in an open world. Overworld mobs. Same class selection at the beginning of the game, with branches from ones base class available after each of the four elemental bosses via some crystalfuckery. Each class and branch have unique Combat and Environment abilities. Base class can't be switched, but branch classes can be altered in towns, allowing a character to swap combat and environmental abilities. Some bases share branches (I.e. Warrior and White Mage share Paladin, etc.)
The base class can reach level 20, sub classes have ten levels each, for a cumulative 100 levels. Each level provides a stat boost, at levels 5 and 10, the subclasses abilities evolve, either
- becoming more effective (i.e the Barbarian environmental ability - Smash - Breaks down a weak wall, changes to Breaks down a damaged wall, changes to Breaks down a cracked wall),
- Increasing timer durations (clerics prayer buff duration extended from x minutes to y minutes to z minutes)
or
- adding new mechanics to the existing ability (I.e the dragoons High Jump. At 5th level can jump twice allowing you to reach great heights, at 10th level allows the dragoon to gently glide by holding jump, negating fall damage and allowing the dragoon to cover moderate distances while falling.)
Players are able to switch between the four party members at will in and out of combat, and issue commands to the rest of the party.
Combat begins when detected within a mob-dependent radius. Upon combat, a Kingdom-hearts style command menu appears. Fairly straightforward. Attack -> [Class combat ability] -> [Secondary class ability (if applicable) -> Item
Combat abilities are straightforward. Examples:
Warrior - Power Strike - Use MP to empower basic attacks for x seconds.
Thief - Mug - Use MP to attempt to steal [a resourceless class ability] on your next basic attack, etc.
Environmental abilities cover a larger purpose. These abilities are not available during combat.
Examples:
Thief - Steal - Can attempt to pickpocket NPCs in the overworld.
Dragoon - High Jump - Jump at 200% height
Ninja (Rogue branch class) - Invisibility - Ninja and party are rendered invisible for x seconds (affects mob detection. Certain mobs that don't rely on sight are immune)
Cleric - Pray - Sanctuaries scattered through overworld provide temporary buffs to party.
Etc. Etc.
Environmental abilities will allow players to reach out-of-the-way locations and affect overworld npcs and mobs. There are four base classes (Warrior, White Mage, Black Mage, Thief) and Eight subclasses for each base.
(Thief -> Dancer, Merchant / Samurai(W), Bard / Alchemist(WM), Trapper / Trickster(BM), Ninja)
(Warrior -> Dragoon, Monk / Samurai(R), Knight / Spellsword(BM), Barbarian / Paladin(WM), Weapon Master)
Each elemental boss after the first defeated unlocks one unique subclass and one shared subclass. The first boss unlocks two unique classes. Certain classes have access to certain weapon types and spells
Story pacing would be completely similar to Final Fantasy 1 with minor adjustments to the world and story details. Side content is present in the form of bounties, treasure hunts, aiding NPCs in unique events, hidden superbosses, optional summons obtained after long quests/defeating them as bosses, dependent on the summon.
The summon system simply replaces the White Mage (Second crystals unique class for white mage is Summoner) in combat, and each summon has a unique three-ability move set. The item command is replaced with Dismiss. While the eidolon is summoned, control can't be switched to other party members. After the third crystal, Black Mages gain access to their unique class; Beastmaster. Beastmasters may take control of three non-unique enemy mobs. When combat initiates, The beast equipped to slot 1 is called to battle. Enemy mobs have a basic attack, semi-unique offensive ability and utility ability. Unlike the summoner, the beastmaster does not disappear from the combat area. Instead, the command deck is replaced with (Attack target -> Offensive -> Utility -> Swap), effectively issuing commands. A beast can be taken control of manually like any party member.
Beasts (And summons) have independent HP/MP resources. Upon death, they may be revived with a phoenix down. They are returned to 1hp at the end of combat. They can be healed from the menu with items and spells like the heroes. (1/2)
ba5d50 No.15954140
The main story of the game is one and the same as its predecessor. Infinite time loop (NG+ with all class/item progress available from the beginning), summoned by king, find garland, kill four elemental demons, help dwarves along the way, etc. etc. The locales are already there, and would be adjusted to be conducive to this games 3D environment and accommodating of the environment mechanics. No swimming, but a boat becomes available part way through the game and later an airship, much like the first.
Throw in cosmetic abilities like a clothing system and armor transmogrifying, make all weapons and spells purchasables instead of unlockables, allow players to purchase customizable homes in cities and towns, hang up trophies from bosses/hunts, display weapons or spellbooks that aren't in use.
And to top it all off: A dungeon builder separate from the base game available after NG that allows you to custom make and share dungeons with a variety of predetermined cells, allowing you to build some basic (to fairly intricate) custom dungeons with the ability to determine enemy spawns, consumable items, NPCs with dialogue and basic object-oriented tasks (basic quest creator, or dialogue editor) and weapons/armor. Dungeon creators can set parameters such as allowing and disallowing certain classes, determining starting levels for all classes or independently altering them, determining starting equipment, determining character names, etc.
This encourages players to play with party compositions outside of the regular 1 rogue, 1 warrior, 1 bmage, 1 wmage to find new ways to solve the player-made problems that lie in wait, and allows dungeon builders to create unique stories for the nameless heroes to experience. And, if truly ambitious, a customer monster builder. Movesets would have to be assigned from the base game, but a low-end model creator isn't too far fetched.
Dungeons would have set build limits, of course, but could be released by players episodically if story based, or as one-off dungeon runs for the challenge.
A fully open world high fantasy traditional JRPG in spirit with tight ARPG combat mechanics, a wide variety of classes (36 in total), with unique combat and environmental abilities, great story pacing, unique environments [may have to be added and altered from the original to express true variety. Even if they use a completely new world and simply keep the incredibly basic plot points as a progression guide, I'd be overwhelmingly happy], and the best part: It's feasible. Mechanically, it's not that far reaching. Fuck, sacrifice "realistic" graphics in favor of well-stylized lower-poly models and textures to justify the expanse of the open world.
I've been shitkicking this around in my head for a couple of years and I'm wondering which Squeenix producers home I have to break into to pitch this and make it real.(2/2)

Make all your own furniture and eventually all your own clothes, mount heads on the wall, taxidermy yourself a bear for by the front door. Grind that boutique lifestyle or else branch out and grow your plot, get occasional visitors, lost hikers, busty injured thots, maybe even a victim of some unreported crime could stumble into your area and disquiet you a bit but then you remember you have a wall full of heads. Perhaps with a variable time and location feature so (you) could be an 1800s frontier cabinlad with some starting gear and a shit rifle looking to trade with a town or other local moonshine addled crazies so you can upgrade your pad/self. You could be 1980s and /k/itted out with scopes, scents and calls, have static radios playing old/real segments of shows at established log cabins you find along the trail, chalet sluts in pastel body suits skiing by, a non-obnoxious amount of local NPCs
Your goal is to leave each cabin comfier than when you found it, so you build fireplaces, leather couches and bearskin rugs from your quarries, write novels and paint while it rains/snows, leave hot tips for good places to shoot, maybe you could end up running a small hotel on the side for other hunters or families.

If they end up doing another jojo's fighting game, they should do the Aquapazza/Nitroplus thing where you have your main playable roster and then have a bunch of assist only characters, so you can get more representation from lesser stand users that still have cool abilities instead of just using the main team+one or two bad guys.

A WW2 shooter/strategy that plays like Red Orchestra 2 but
>is massively upscaled to the battalion level on huge maps several square kilometers in size with 500 vs 500 battles
>options for smaller gamemodes that include smaller maps at either the company or platoon level
>updated graphics and sound to the CURRENT YEAR level
>ez modding support
>includes multiplayer maps based on 1939 Poland, 1940 France, 1941-45 Ostfront, 1944-45 West front, 1940 Norway, 1941-43 north Africa, 1943-45 Italy

>battalion commander role can choose where to focus and direct support such as artillery to his company commanders (who then have the role of calling it in on where they want)
>platoon commanders now use radio(men) to tell company commanders about the situation
>radios can be relocated to an extent
>radios can be destroyed
>lots of new tanks from every time period with fully modelled interiors
>a few tank only maps
>new bomber aircraft support types which can be called in by commanders
>dive bombers and fighter-bombers spawn in AI planes that automatically target tanks
>level bombers that can be called in on a certain location
>fighter/interceptor support ability for commanders that which shoot down enemy planes

>getting shot in the arms reduce accuracy
>getting shot in the legs reduce movement speed
>helmets are now modelled to stop shrapnel and glancing bullets from hurting you (with a noise included)
>getting injured in the head but not killed will result in temporary vision blur and ear ringing
>tanks have to use radios to communicate to other tanks
>vehicle chat to talk to others in your vehicle locally
>tanks that dont have radios use meme signal flags and are fucked as is right and proper
>there are trucks and half tracks to transport infantry around (when historically applicable)
>HMGs can be disassembled and carried by multiple people and transported around the map
>actual night maps that are dark as a non glow in the dark CIA nigger
>paratrooper maps
>fully destructible environments that include the ground
>prior to the game start there is a minute where the commander(s) tell you what/how/where they want accomplished via either/or voice/text chat or a map feature where they can draw shit like numbers, arrows and words on, which then sub commanders carry into the battle with them to look at later
>these maps are physical items and can be looted off dead enemy commanders to steal and look at
>VR support
>radios can now play appropriate music (which turn off when talking)
>gore is enabled and accurate so Ivan being directly hit by a 88mm Tiger HE shell will now be a liquid USSR flag
>when a team runs out of reinforcements they will have an option to play a mini unranked deathmatch game with other perma dead players for fun so they dont have to spend 10 minutes spectating some nigger camping in spawn waiting for the match to end
>loadouts can be somewhat customized to the extent where you can choose to carry a fuckton of ammo and grenades at the cost of stamina and movement penalties, or vice versa
>class system from RO2 is still in place so everyone doesnt go for the meme assault rifles at the same time
>classes and weapon availability are historically accurate for the time period the map took place in
>MGs can now be aimed and fired from the shoulder at the cost of fuck you accuracy and recoil in anything more than very short bursts
>rainy, snow, and blizzard maps
>you can see over 200m away clearly if the weather is fine unlike RO2 where you play in a 21st century Chinese industrial city

Oh boy, this thread again. I'll have to repost mine then. Custom ship building game along the lines of space engineers or empyrion except only in space, with a Cowboy Bebop theme/setting. The twist here is that instead of grinding asteroids and building block by block you go to various ship graveyards and scrap sites in orbit and cut apart different bits of hull and weld them together (Ships are all voxel based); then you can put in components, doors, coolant lines, power cables, data wires, fuel lines, and everything else required with autism levels rivaling SS13, or greater. Full newtonian flight physics (including requiring thruster balance) but a computer and gyroscopes can keep you flying straight at the cost of performance so building isn't complete agony. When your ship is damaged it is actually represented by putting dents or holes in your ship hull itself (only components have hp, and this system is possible with voxels). The main challenge of the game is not necessarily building a ship but keeping it actually operating as you fly around and refine your junk heap in this oldies not-quite-noblebright space culture that doesn't take itself too seriously. Pic kind of related.

Honestly try foxhole. It's a sort of mmo shooting match across multiple connected maps where even the ammo has to be grinded by players, which for some reason some people actually like doing. I was on one time when some guy basically solid snaked to the enemy team's home base and started sabotaging stuff (There's 9 or 10 maps, all connected at borders via a loading screen.)
Also respawns require an item called soldier supplies, when they run out you can't spawn at X base anymore until replaced.
Not EXACTLY what you're looking for but it's relatively close.

I'd also vote in a transportation school of magic that involves floating, teleporting, telekinesis, and general utility. Hopefully the magic mechanics isn't just press f to cast spell like miyazki's games.

My idea is an Eternal Darkness and Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners styled game focused on investigatio. The player would be an archaeologist uncovering a lost pyramid or tomb in Egypt that may predate the first men. There would also be locations like museums in Cairo, temples on the Nile, and below the sphinx. Deep time would be a major theme when the character realizes the further below Egypt the pyramid goes, the further into our prehistory he descends to a final sanity destroying revalation.>>15958971

Shit i dunno, it just cools damn neat no matter which way i think it could be done, AOE with stritct 1/3rd-person and combat of Mount & blade. Obviously without that whole campaign map M&B has but instead one huge "battlemap" where everyone builds their bases, gathers resources etc.
Or just make the mapsize into fuckinghuge-tier, the kind that puts those tiny-ass maps of Just Cause to shame, maybe not Daggerfall tier or fuck it who knows have it be randomly generated with preset Kingdoms (Swadia, Vaegirs etc) who'd have 2-3 allready built in Towns, Castles, Villages etc and you could just join up them like in normal M&B or try your luck building up your own Kingdom from literally the scratch.

Not really a dream game, but a cool idea that I'm actually impressed never materialized as some playable: Homosuck's original assymetrical cooperative mechanics
If you are blessed enough to have never read homosuck it works something like this:
>a player plays the game like a adventure rpg
>another player does the same
>a third player does the same
>none of the players are capable of basic base building and crafting which is essential to achieve the endgame
>but the first player accessing a terminal can manipulate the second player's world as a godlike builder and crafter if the second player has the necessary resources
>second player can do this to the third
>the third to the first
>while crafting and building to the other player they are exposed as a character that whatever shit is going on their own world
>they could get killed while building a shield to their fellow friend or something
>the endgame can only be achieved if all the players get to their own respective objectives
>so players aren't encouraged to grief each other to death or some crazy shit like that
The mechanics shouldn't necessarily be limited to action rpg and basebuilding + crafting but could be anything else too. I'm just impressed that in an era of so much experimentation nobody tried mimicking this or something similar, especially considering that one massive popular webcomic demonstrated the possibility, and logically would cater to its fans.

If the leaked dev builds worked any better I would host a server right now, but no.
You can't even launch the game without manual setup or a modified client now.
Why make a multiplayer game and not release the means to host instances of it if you're not going to support it.
I wonder if anyone has made good custom server software yet. Probably not.

Technically Homefront: Revolution counts and while the main story plays almost exactly like far cry 3: city addition, the DLC on it is REALLY good, though I still recommend playing the story; the hobo phase when you don't have much but the game doesn't expect you to mow down 30 soldiers is probably the best part (that first yellow zone is great). Tons of lost potential in it but it had a really troubled development so that might be expected. The enemy search algorithm is pretty shitty though (they know where you are during alarm instead of operating on last known position and grid search like real guards) so just abuse dumpsters and ignore alarms entirely.

The best we have is E.V.O.: Search for Eden for the SNES, which is actually a fun game but it doesn't really scratch the entire itch of a creatures life sim. Too bad dinosaur themed games seem to be cursed overall to fail most of the time, and these kind of comfy creature sims are rare.

>Pure exploration game. No pressure, no enemies, no fall damage, only punishment for failure is losing small amounts of progress as you must try a sequence of jumps/climbs a second time.
>Area you start in is very simple to navigate, but the further you get from the start, the more difficult the terrain becomes. Game teaches you new movement mechanics by forcing you to use them to proceed to the next area, so you start with a simple wallrun and by the end you're doing long sequences of movements like run, jump, airdash, grip the wall for a second to refresh airdash, vault up, airdash again, long wallrun, jump into short wallrun, high jump, airdash, and just barely make it to the last ledge. Maybe throw in some Super Metroid style animals to teach you about unintuitive stuff.
>Every movement mechanic is unlocked from the start, but you don't really appreciate all of them and the way they interact and combine with each other until the end when you have to use them all.
>Beautiful and detailed environments, both to give you things worth exploring, and to make it easier to hide secret routes.
>Secret collectables are everywhere, but all are merely cosmetic, or little trinkets that don't affect gameplay, EG a laser pointer to play with small animals that might see or cool shoes that give you a sparkle trail when you dash or leave glowing footprints when you wallrun. Or just a beautiful vantage point.
>After completing the final gauntlet and probably being rewarded with a nice view of the whole game map, walk back to the starting point and on the way back, see all the routes you missed because you didn't realize what you could do.
>Hardest challenge of all is at the very start of the game; what looked at the start to be an unscaleable piece of scenery keeping you in-bounds is in fact your true final test, and you only recognize it as such now when you couldn't at the start.
Only game that even comes close to this is Zineth. That's a good freeware game, but not my perfect dream game.

Game using dead rising 3 and it's open world, or a big open world like it, and all of it's mechanics, but make the story interesting, characters less…feel like they were developed for a certain audience, and make the game actually difficult, along with making the time limit matter. Alternatively, remake dead rising 1 with the engine of dead rising 3, make the outside of willimate explorable(explain it by having the convicts bust thru a wall to the mall or something, never made sense how they got in the park anyways), with limited weapon crafting in hardware shops(spiked bat and other simple combos, no ridiculous campy shit)
Pokemon game that is actually difficult, isn't afraid to have a "darker", more interesting universe, like the orre games did, and have actual choice and dialogue options, even letting you side with the big bad, if you want to, bonus points for multiple factions you can side with, a la new vegas, to complete the main game
Van buren project, aka real fallout 3, in the modified fallout 4 engine. Edit the engine so it allows for more than 4 dialogue options, and enable multiple ammo types, rest should just work as intended. Take out the stupid town crafting minigame, and let you manage several in game bases instead, as the game wanted you to
I'm gonna get hate for this, but I want COD Ghosts 2. I loved that game, I loved the premise for that game, and I loved how most of the retards didn't touch it because it wasn't bo2 or mw4. The multi actually resembled some of the older titles because of that, it was maximum comfy, and the main villain was literally bane(Right down to recreating the plane scene). I want more of that, and more unique features in multi, as well as new and refined squads mode, something they didn't bother with again. I would also like to see the spec ops system in single come back(Optional missions that effect the ending or make the next main mission easier, you only get one life, but the mission is simpler and quicker to complete) and the idea of natural disasters being weaponized or getting out of control, like the pre release interviews hinted at, but were scrapped or they didn't have time to implement them
Also, I want a new alien shooter game, building on from what made the second one(Original release, not the dumbed down one) so great. Also, a game like Operation: Darkness, but set in the cold war and modern day, like they planned, possibly by different devs, cause the game was kinda clunky and not that well made, from what I remember

> Semi-tactical, fun focussed, fast paced gameplay like Battlefield 2
> Large scale Planetside type maps styled after places like Iraq, Syria, North Korea, China, Russia, America, etc.
> ~300 player combined arms combat on single non-instanced servers where teams fight to control different sectors of each continent ultimately conquering it as a victory condition before deploying to the next.
> Different objectives could have different capture mechanics to add variety such as bases that need to be besieged and defended, facilities that need to be hacked, infrastructure that needs to be destroyed, etc alongside traditional flag capture mechanics.
> Encourages team play and incentivises squad cohesion while not penalising or breaking individual play
> Minor RPG elements and customisation like Planetside 1 that encourage specialisation among players.
Can you imagine yourself and a squad of buddies swooping onto an objective in a Blackhawk then fighting your way through a set of objectives while tanks barrel past, gunfire from attack helos and aircraft rains down and leveraging each of your characters customised kits/setups tailored to your specific gameplay style in order to bring home the win. This could all be accomplished in Arma 3, as a matter of fact I could create the mission myself with a high amount of randomly generated objectives, bases, vehicles and dynamically changing victory conditions. I've done it before.
Except Arma 3 runs on a piece of shit engine from the late 90's and it's made by incompetent czech cunts so the end result would be badly tarnished by optimization flaws, physics bugs and an AI suffering from multiple congenital defects. Not to mention it'd require a modpack greater than 4gb in size for it to be even remotely playable and even then at best you'd be stuttering along at 25-30fps.

Basically I would take any game with the Techology of an AI that you can hold conversations with in and have it stay in character.
It would be a system were dialog is calculated by an AI who is educated on the lore and such. It's only one AI but it plays the roles of, and calculates the dialog of, multiple characters.
It would also be smart enough to respond dynamically to anything you say to it with unique answers in a convincing human voice
Basically what I want is an AI Dungeon Master.
If we had this kind of technology i would probably usher in an unprecedented golden age of RPG games.
If i could pick a dream game to debut the technology, I would personally prefer a game that would be a bit of an adventure fantasy mash up.
I'd want it to be kind of like the sweet spot that Indiana Jones sits in were it's not post world war 2, so their is still some mystery in the world, but they still have cool guns to fight with.
Personally I'd want the game to be a kind of historically based fantasy were it's like the Colonial Period in the Americas but the Europeans have Wild West level technology. Lever Action Guns, Biplanes, Airship blimps, Revolvers.
You'd run in these huge factions like the British East India Company and the Natives. The natives would have powerful artifacts and relics that many of the old world factions would seek out along side gold and other metals.
There also has to be a Caribbean Pirates themed faction. You'd get to sail in sea bound ships, ride horses, and airships being an end game transport. The new world would be mostly open world wilderness with dungeons and a few sizable colonial settlements. But the Old world would have capital city hubs, which while not open world, would be the place to go to get top of the line upgrades and would show off the sheer enormity of the Metropolis's of the Old World. Each one would also be themed to culturally parody real life European countries, acting as hubs for the factions of that nationality. The Natives would also have capital cities but they would be woven into the new world map.
The player character would be a freelancer from the old world who has come to seek fortune and glory. Their also has to be a love interest with a cute girl.
It would be like if you mashed Pirates of the Caribbean, The Wild West, and Indiana Jones all into one as an open world RPG.

Cast spells to pull off tricks like freezing part of a river to board on it or using fire spells to propel yourself upwards after a sick jump. Gravity spells too so you can do tricks upside-down or sideways or whatever. You'd have to manage your mana consumption throughout the level, of course.
The levels would all be various open worlds in historical locations, like medieval France, late republic-era Rome, precolumbian Mexico, imperial Mali, three kingdoms China, Taungoo dynasty Burma, Islamic golden age Baghdad, etc with different questlines for each level, all of which can be completed by doing increasingly sick wizard-skateboarding. You'd get to learn new spells for doing certain quests, further improving your trick repertoire.

>Player can learn the truth behind the invasion, decide whether or not they want to cooperate with these aliens in exchange for powerful tech or lead a rebellion and personally join their own forces in a battle to retake a major city or bring down alien crafts of all sizes

A proper pornographic action game. Porn games never properly tie the porn to the gameplay. Either they're RPGs or something where the gameplay is just selecting from menus, the porn action is relegated to cutscenes, or the porn action is a punishment for losing rather than a reward for winning or doing well.
Also, it needs to be playable one handed, for obvious reasons.
So we need an action game where the reward is sex. So the obvious answer is that the game has to be about rape. Like a fighting game or beat 'em up. A modern controller has a joystick, a joystick button, and two shoulder buttons. Plus the d-pad and a select button, all with just one hand. More than enough for a beat 'em up if you map the controls creatively.
So you run around an arena doing basic beat 'em up stuff. The twist is that you can press a button to swap styles and change from damage moves to sex moves. Removing clothes and such. You and your opponents have health meters, but you also have orgasm meters. Lowering your opponent's damage meter lowers her ability to attack and defend. However, maxing out her orgasm meter will make her join your team and act as an ally. Any damage you did to her carries over, so there is an incentive to avoid damage moves, even though they make your initial task (the initial rape) easier. Of course if you knock her out she can't join your team. It's like Pokemon. More like Poke Her Mon.
If your damage meter maxes out, you get knocked out and you lose. If your orgasm meter maxes out, you cum, which gets you points for ranks and unlockables, and substantially raises your current opponent's orgasm meter, different amounts depending on where you cum, and different opponents may have different preferences, just like how they'd of course have different rates of getting turned on (raising the orgasm meter) depending on what moves you use on them. However, cumming temporarily drains your attack and defense abilities, leaving you very vulnerable. You must use your own orgasms strategically, when you know you have time, or powerful enough allies to protect you during your refractory period. Certain opponents may also attempt to make you orgasm on purpose, because then after they can knock you out easier.
While there is your basic story mode, there are also points for things like how much ally health and orgasm meter you have at the end of the stage, how many times you and your allies managed to cum, etc. Ranks unlock new moves and costume pieces.
So there's a collect 'em all aspect with your allies, and each has unique stats. There is of course also a mode that lets you just do a simple re-match against any ally you've already collected, with any team loadout you want. You select your allies at the beginning of the level based on which girls you've already collected, as well as custom girls you've created, but more on that after. There are no rewards for this. This is just an exhibition mode.
Since there are a bunch of collectable allies, they won't all be completely unique, it will be a requirement that they all pick from a pool of moves and other attributes (both stats and appearance), like Pokemon. But there are bosses, and they're more unique. They have more special moves, revolving around more particular fetishes and such that they represent. They do stuff that's too complicated to make sense for a playable character. Like purposely ridiculous OP bosses in a fighting game.
Since the wide pool of allies are essentially made up of a pool of mixed and matched attributes, there is also of course a Create-A-Girl mode. You can create girls based on attributes you've unlocked. Making a girl your ally unlocks all her attributes for custom girls, and there are also other attributes that you can get as rewards in levels. Simple enough. Using custom girls in certain modes will prevent you from unlocking things while using that girl in that mode, however.
There is also a Hard Mode where you are expected to use a finely crafted harem of difficult to recruit allies. This mode features new opponents/potential allies that can be recruited. They also have new attributes that can be used for custom girls. Bosses also use new moves. Remember, the moves ARE the porn, so more moves and more difficulty is a reward. Beyond this, there is a Very Hard Mode where you are expected to use a finely crafted team of custom girls. There wouldn't be much left to unlock by this point, but perhaps there are a couple super moves and physical attributes left to unlock.
Of course you can do AI v AI mode so you can just watch.
I could go on but it's getting late. And I don't know programming so this is never happening anyway. Even though it would make millions.

>you fight demonic kaiju as an inquisitor piloting a massive mech
>once you damage them enough, you have to eject from the mech and climb on the fuckers to stab them in the head with a magic sword
>climbing kind of works like BoTW but more refined
>some of them have demon-spawn that come after you when climbing
<you have sick armor and guns
>complete mech customization and specialization with the ability to develop weapons ranging from small arms, guns, swords, fuckhuge berserk reference swords, and armors
<comfy hub area
>realistic destruction physics, ability to pick shit up and beat up demonkaiju with it
>combat can either be clunky and heavy or fast paced depending on how you build your mech
>examples: you could have a build that picks up skyscrapers and hurls them at the enemies, or have one that just has a fuckton of machine guns mounted on its body and jets around the battlefield
