So I'm having a cup of joe while playing Ninja Gaiden Black, and I was thinking of doing a thread were we basically recommend games that people may or may not have heard of, or are upcoming and look really cool.

Synaptic Drive: This one is basically a spritual successor to Custom Robo with a more competitive focus. They just got a publisher recently as well, although no one knows who it is.

Fark the Electric Jester: From the hue who made Sonic: After the Sequel and Spark the Electric Jester comes a new 3D Action game that's like Sonic Adventure but adds in a whole bunch of other stuff like power ups, dashing and a basic combat system.

Wave Break: From what the dev told us, it's basically a tony hawk like game but with boats and guns, looks really interesting.

I have some more I'd like to post, but I need to finish my cup of joe. In the meantime I'd like for you guys to recommend some new/obscure vidya for /v/.

Touhouvania: basically a platformer that combines 2hu and Classicvania. Highly recommended to play the first game and then the second.

Since we're talking upcoming games, Touhou Luna Nights is a currently Early Access metroidvania by Team Ladybug, the team behind Konosuba, Pharaoh Rebirth+ and SMT Full Syncronicity.

Are there other Touhouvanias? The only thing that prevented me from playing was the autistic touhou lore which is why I played the previous games. When I realized that I needed to spend time in thousand of other media I just want to jump at them with the little knowledge I have.

End State, a turn based tactics game where you play a mercenary group. It looks tactical enough and I like it, and the fact that it has AP is enough for me to at least link it here.

There's also phoenix point but honestly I haven't been keeping up with it and I don't know if it's going to turn up good or Firaxishit 2.0.

There are, both of them based on classic with a bit of the more insane powers(flying, screenwipes) of metroidvania. I recommend the second game which you can find under Legend of Scarlet Castle 2 because I don't really remember where I downloaded it.

One last upcoming game, Bushiden looks nice. It's a metroidvania that looks to combine Shinobi and Strider and put their own spin on it with some additional shit that will totally not make the game super easy like other modern metroidvanias but at least the movement looks really fun here and I like the animation. It's a kickstarter title but it's been funded I assume, I really don't know where the important information is on kickstarter and I saw a blurb about how x number of good goys brought the project to life on the page so I assume it's funded.
