Alright, I'm gonna make this post to probably no avail as I have been getting a bit miffed with how people have been creating wrestlers of late. I'm going to cover parameters mainly. Parameters do indeed matter, and their functionality is very straightforward to anyone who can understand that Attack power is the left column, and Defense is the right. The higher the parameter, the more the wrestler will either do damage with those types of moves, or tank damage against those types of moves. Likewise, if a field is lower than 4, that means they do not perform attacks that regard that field very well or that much, which translates to lower damage, and if a parameter lower than 4 is assigned to a defensive parameter that means they will have a notable weakness to those types of moves, so assign your parameters accordingly to your character's personality and fight style.
Now, with how wrestlers are created and balanced in our tournament, I'd say that 4 is a relatively low parameter to either attack or defend properly against other wrestlers being created for the mania. Not to say that it's completely futile to have low attack or defense parameters. For instance, Immunity Dog had his highest attack parameter at 6 for one field only, the rest being 5's and 2's, but he's still quite capable of bringing down the opponent's health. However, expect to be very fucked by having majority 4 defensive parameters in a long (~7 minutes or more) mania fight, so unless your character is supposed to be a bit fragile, I would expect the average defensive parameter to be atleast 6, that is to say if you want your wrestler to not crumple like paper in a long standing match. An offense-based wrestler with good attack parameters (like 6-8, maybe even a single 9) and slightly lower than optimal defensive parameters, we'll say their fields are in the 4-6 range, are still perfectly viable fighters and can do good in the early to mid game before getting caught up to in the late game and stomped. But that is their weakness, and that is fair.
That's really the point I'm trying to drive home here, your wrestler is going to need weaknesses. Wrestlers who kill everything with no gimmick whatsoever are fucking boring. The point limit of 170-190 allows us to assign weaknesses accordingly, as well as the intentionally flawed designs of most return styles are able to nerf wrestlers in a way most creators don't understand rightly, which is a good thing. If everyone who were creating wrestlers right now understood near everything about the game that the oldfags and technical autists knew, we would likely have competitive minmax garbage being thrown out for the sole purpose of nabbing belts and expanding your e-dong. So let's not do that, and understand that slapping 10's on your attack parameters are to be a VERY rare occasion. The highest you should ever have an attack parameter for a normal, non-gimmicky wrestler is 8, that is the acceptable ceiling for attack parameters, it does sufficient damage in that field without being too ridiculous. Any higher than that, 9's or 10's, should only be used when a wrestler's whole personality/personal fight style/whatever you want to call it is that particular field you're assigning those numbers to. 10 is waaaay too high to be spammed in offensive parameters, they will seriously dent the opponent with that kindof power. 9 is also quite strong, I'd say only use one offensive 9 for a wrestler that EXCELS at that field. Don't put 9's on anything else in the attack field unless you're wanting to create the minmax garbage that we hate so much. (CONT.)

Let's look at this first set of parameters in Pic 1. This guy's attack is obviously ridiculous, actually minmaxed to hell and back. Fields that are not used are set to 1's, that is ok, but not when you just divert those points to 10's on everything he does use. He's going to be doing the absolute maximum amount of damage that an expected 360 pointer would be doing in terms of how his damage will be calculated. Now, his defense parameters I would say are indeed balanced, crude and predictable with no weaknesses whatsoever but atleast he didn't use anything higher than a 6 for his defenses. However, it doesn't excuse the massive amount of damage this thing will be doing with ALL of its attacks that it uses, and coupled with no weakness this guy's parameters will likely belong to a very cheesy minmax build.
Let's look at example 2. These parameters belong to an orthodox style wrestler, and a good example of an average-looking parameter chart you will see in 8chanmania for most wrestlers. Notice how the highest attack parameters are only set to 8, with the other attack fields quite unremarkable in comparison. This wrestler's attacks will all-around do about normal-ish damage to the average 6-8 defensive parameter which are normally assigned to wrestlers that are in 8chanmania. Her defensive parameters aren't ridiculous, against 7-8 parameter'd attacks the wrestler will likely take some bad hits but not terrible. I would not expect the wrestler to last through a long fight against a no-nonsense wrestler that uses no rough or entertainment based moves. For those wondering why those fields are so high, this is Poli'ahu's parameter set, and she's supposed to be very against NTR and other nasty mean things, so that translated to a gimmicky high 10 on defense against rough and a high entertainment defense as well.
Speaking of gimmicky wrestlers, example 3 is Immunity Dog's set. As you can see, even he has no tens, only laughably low offensive fields and notably good defensive fields, but not superhuman defense. Just really good defense. Now, this defense will still get to endure long lasting matches a bit better than most, but he can still crumple apart completely if the opponent gives no quarter with really strong moves, like example 1 would most likely do. Even with oddball wrestlers that fill a specific niche, like "immunity" for Immunity Dog, you have to be balanced with it and make sure they have weaknesses accordingly, and aren't ridiculous.
So TLDR just fucking realize what will happen when you're building this shit. Don't give Crash Bandicoot or Double D from EEEO 10 on power attack just because you want them to do good, because that obviously does not fit who they are.

Also, have this 200x200 of Earth and a 200x200 of Earth Mimicry's true identity. It might be a good idea to have Earth Mimicry not communicate at first and then gradually start to speak according to Achi's personality as it advances and as Achi deems necessary. Keep in mind, Achi was a pretty damn manipulative mastermind if you read up on the plot of Sin and Punishment, along with having plenty of telekinetic powers that included being able to wrap others in a vision of the future. She'd possibly make a good scuttlebug substitute against Teagan, even if it'd be more along the lines of messing with her mind for her own goals rather than simply for sadistic pleasure.

I have a rough draft of Dingle Kringle running and I have some questions about crafting the character.
1. I want him to wear a green thong but without some layer of pants underneath his thong he has an invisible body. Maybe this is because I thinned his body because he is a small guy. To deal with this problem I layered a pair of wrestler pants underneath the thong but matching the skin color is beyond me right now and I just end up with a guy that looks like he is wearing a diaper under a thong. In case you are in opposition to my plan, understand that this character is the evil twin of Santa Claus and he would predictably rather wear less and be a thinner man than his big fat dumb brother.
2. I want him to be a good heel but I don't want him to be an overpowered character either so I went with low power and high rough, technical, and all around defense with 10 in lariat Def in an attempt to keep an ace in the hole for ol' Kringle. I'll glady share his stats and export file if you want em.
3. is it okay for me to use Spell, Bite or the illegal weapon attack in the game? Spell backfires on Dingle Kringle every time, even when it hits, but it is funny, and bite and weapon are top tier heel materiel.
4. I cranked Kringle's Entertain to 9 and have pushed taunts and attacks based on it into the character and I don't want to change that but I would like (you to tell me that it was a good move even if it isn't) advice on how to properly heel in that way.

To make spell not backfire, you should add attacks that daze. Anything with the letter "B" after it (thumb eyes, face rake, jawbreaker, manhattan drop) dazes. You can also daze by putting a med move in a big move slot and setting "pick opponent up" to 100%. When dazed, the type of standing attack used is based on the "opp dazed" part of the logic, and the moves featured there are the big standing moves toward the top of the list. It's fun to put a variety of different attacks here, like flying roll up pin or trap armbreaker.

Well, first i would suggest you guys play it when you have the time, as it's a good game. Second, i wouldn't recommend specific dialogue because i don't see the story fitting well with this (and to not spoiler you too much).
It would be enough if you just make her a normal girl searching for her brother Dan In the remote case she wins, you can reveal he's dead and questioning in every match why every opponent would want to fight and try to stop them from it.

Basically you're right, it IS a tumblr, the /vg/ thread on the game has the best Summary on why we care.
A really, terribly shitty excuse for a JRPG created by a Tumblr user. Since August and December of 2015, it has been celebrated biannually on /v/ with a stream of the game followed by tons of OC from drawings, stories, and even mods.
There are different reasons as to why people like this game with the two prevailing ones being that it brings people together and that it has some genuinely good stuff that is hidden beneath all the shit. The way that the majority of us began to care, however, was due of its treatment of the deuteragonist, Teagan Almace, as she is seen as being far more reasonable and responsible than anyone else in the game and vilified for it.

I do agree it's obviously minmaxed like you say, right after all the warning about not doing it, but these things are prone to happen once in a while. Even if you, for example, change the limit to 180 or 185, it would not be much of a difference.
Still, it can fail due to a CRIT!, high submission, or heavy pins, so don't worry.
And the Hardcore skill is SHIT: even with a 30% chance of pulling weapons, the CPU drops it at the first chance and doesn't grab it again, nor do any moves with it except hitting one or two times.

M8, you're better off with using Mysterious and doing some Great Muta-type stuff than with Panther
This is also a complaint I have, because it's either American/Orthodox or Panther that's mostly used, guys, learn to fuck around with other styles like Technician, Vicious, Luchador or Power. Not everyone has to be a flippy Panther or a "do it all" American, try out other styles and learn to mess with them, and even if you reeeally want to do a high flyer, there's tons of more options than just Panther, plus flippyshit is an artform in itself, take your time and experiment, set-up big death-defying spots, find a way to keep your Junior matches fast and adrenaline-fueled, use Lucha-style "llaves" to give the fights better pacing and wear down the opponent, Mysterious gives you better room for rough move and heel-ish tactics to mix up with your high flying game,
