I'm looking for a third person sci-fi shooter from around 1995/1996. You were mostly on foot, outdoors on some kinda snow planet or something, shooting sprites and buildings, you could ride a mount (some kinda alien bipedal creature), and the cover art had blue and white colors with some kinda soldier man on it. It was one of those 2.5D games.

Turns out it's a bit obscure but I hope someone can help me. I can't for the life of me find anything… Pic unrelated, just reminded me of the cover art is all.

The game I’m looking for is either a PS1 or SNES game but I’m leaning towards it being PS1. It was a jrpg from what I recall and the opening was in a snowy environment. A girl comes across a large hole in the ground and in said hole is another kid. I believe it was a boy as the girl made a big deal about him being naked. The two went on to the village that the girl lives in.

Details end there as I was probably 6 or 7 when I played it and stopped playing it after I had gotten to the village.

I would have included more spooky and unnecessary details. Like how the system shut itself off and turned on again to show a hyper realistic bloody face but somehow limited to PS1 graphics. :^)

But nah, I believe this was actually a game and not some start to a crappy creepypasta.

Ah no, I forgot to mention it wasn't Outcast because I knew someone would bring that up eventually.

I'm talking 1996, maybe as recent as 1997. Definitely not past that. The main character has blue/white armor or something.
