Anyone else heard of this thing? Not to be confused with the Marvel comic IP of the same name, this is some new FuRyu IP game developed by Gemdrops. It came out in Japan back in October, and it seems to be an action RPG that uses crying as a mechanic to power up and stuff.

I don't know if the game's any good, but the stylish art and graphic design caught my eye and the music sounds good too, so I'm keeping it on my radar in case it comes to the west. The director said he wants to make it happen in 2019, but can't make any promises yet:

Unfortunately, Crystar is a PS4 exclusive, so there's no way to tell whether or not So(n)y's censors tampered with the game's content during development. Maybe we'll never know.

They're a publisher, so I highly doubt they have anything to do with the game's quality.

Fair enough, they don't have the best judgement as a publisher.

I still hope this game doesn't suck though. It would be a shame if this nice ass was wasted on a bad game.

Sadly, no. Like I said in the OP, the game's a PS4 exclusive.

I wish it got a multiplatform release, if only because the artist (ntny) and Gemdrops' graphics designers are talented and deserve more exposure. Whether or not the game itself is any good, it's visually stunning. I can pause the official trailer at almost any frame and get a high-art wallpaper.
