Good news arrived today. Angels of Death chapter is getting an animation series and is going to be headed by none other than the man himself, Richard Boylan. He made the fan movie of Helsreach and GUARDSMAN.
Its going to happen. GW actually did something right. Maybe they can do something right with making a good Planetside based 40k game, or a good single player narrative game similar to Space Marines. One step at a time.
In other news, this is the official WH40k thread. I still need to play the old wh40k: Chaos Gate game, been in my backlog for a while.

That's stuck with the game's assets in Unreal. Would have to bring those models in. Not a chance though because its Terminator armor. The animation uses regular power armor.

How do you fuck up what is easily the fucking simplest formula for a violent video game? You don't have to sell this to people through sneaky market jargon, you can slap a fucking sticker on the box, "You're shooting everyone else as your favorite 40k faction with a bunch of other people". It couldn't be simpler. You don't need lore, it's already thrown in your face. Make up some faction leaders and throw them onto a planet or group of planets. The only issues should honestly be coding weapons to be satisfying and shoving as many people as possible into a map.
The ONLY redeeming factor about that trash fire was that Orks were, despite being nigh unplayable with weapons being almost non functional, still somehow had the best players in terms of just having fun. The fact you could make everyone else a salt mine just by saying things in Ork speak almost made up for everything else being unsalvageable garbage.

It's an intergalactic wrestling(hugs are a wrestling move) game where Vulcan gets passed from one sick fuck to another who wants to find different ways to kill Vulkan, and the more you die the more brutal your weapons and moveset becomes since vulkan becomes more deranged. But the good ending is 1CC'ing the whole game and putting the smackdown on the sick fucks who want to kill you until you land on Nocturn or something.
