It was pretty clear that Pat's lack of chemistry with first Liam and then Matt over time eroded the channel. He's fine on his own (and honestly Pat and Woolie series were the best) but holy shit I could see how working with him could grow intolerable fast. Them splitting into individual projects is probably for the best:

Matt was always unskilled but highly passionate about niche things, excelling in research over in the moment gameplay.

Pat obviously loves to bullshit with the audience and do mindless shit in the meantime.

Woolie loves the creative process as a whole and fighting games.

Just subscribe to their archive channels. Supergreatfriend is another decent youtuber with regular uploads, by the way, and raocow never stopped either.

Personally i am kind of surprised it lasted this long. Matt always felt like the guy who made friends with them in college because he had nobody else and would laugh awkwardly at jokes he didnt get while dropping lines/quotes from pop culture as a replacement for a strong personality trait.

Meanwhile Pat is a neurotic mess that goes on the aggressive in a way that screams 'i can't get hurt if i hurt everyone first' kind of personality but he is far less of a casual than Matt and seems the most eager to work with others'. Meanwhile Woolie just seems like the guy that wants to make things for fun and more power to him.

Hopefully matt can go into the west and fade with his trigger warning using danger hair friends and Pat and Woolie can do stuff with German Spy and Plague of Gripes more.

I think that's a little harsh, as I think he was a decent counterpart to Pat for the first handful of years of 2BFP. He clearly doesn't have what it takes to be good on his own though. Based on his solo work on his own channel (I can't enjoy any of it), I don't think he's learned anything about presentation (he makes bad naming choices, does poor, unenthused line delivery, etc.) in his overall time with 2BFP, which is interesting, given he edited a heap of the videos. I guess he never really picked up a style like what Supermega or other 'meme editors' bring which jazz up videos, and was always responsible for purely adequate work.
