What details do we have on it? I am hoping it's either like backstory Ardyn set hundreds of years in the past, or something set at the same time as XV, where we just get to go god-mode. That said, NG+ is kind of already there.

Yeah the story of the episode delves into past events and more of Ardyn's backstory than we got in the base game. Here's the first trailer that came out a month ago if you haven't seen it.

The combat genuinely looks fun. I hope when this releases either the episode itself features an open-world aspect or we can be allowed to switch to Ardyn in the base game.

Iiii like it. Though I have to say I like his English VA way more now. Like, when he was introduced in the plot, I liked how he was clearly not lik a good guy but had questionable motives and a degree of intrigue, given how charismatic/jovial he was. But then JP Ardyn is like, a gremlin.

Yeah I like his English VA a lot more than his Japanese VA but this was the first video I saw pop up on YT when I searched it so I linked it. Don't even know if there is an English trailer. I personally think he's top 5 in FF antagonists, but that's just me.

Episode Ardyn is the last DLC unless somehow Tabata comes back and wants to make the ones that were promised. Otherwise it'd be pretty dumb and pointless to make a Super-GOTY if the only new thing in it would be Episode Ardyn.
They've been recently releasing free crossover content (Terra Wars and FFXIV events) and free updates for Comrades. Who knows if they're going to continue doing that stuff though.

Pretty sure the game released, then they added in the episode dlcs and then comrades and then finally the "make the ending mission fun also become god" dlc and then combined that into the goty. Don't think there were any other dlcs.
