Never did get around to playing this. Whats the best way to play OOT on a computer

Ideally I think I'd like to see the 3DS visuals in one of the console emulators but I don't think that exists. Citra works but playing with the map and items in a whole other window would be a pain on a TV. I feel like maybe the N64 Rom would have more mods available but perhaps the GCN version or Wii virtual console one would do better?

Any way to make it look good at 720p would be fine with me.

>emulation gets better the longer ago the console's release is

>gee, I wonder which one is the best

Think faggot. Also, shit thread.

I'm going to be honest. I have no idea if this will work but I'm sure a similar set up exists. The idea in my head it that you use this software ( http://wiiubrew.org/wiki/UsendMiiwith ) two monitors, one of which will be attached to the software and the bottom screen of the 3ds emulator, and the primary screen being the top screen. That way you could in theory play a 3ds game in much high resolution in a semi normal way.

>implying N64 emulation is better than Dolphin

Dolphin is the easiest emulator to use.

The gamecube remake also comes with MM.

N64 and Virtual Console versions are vanilla. The GameCube and 3DS version have the base game + the Master Quest content.

I'd say that the GameCube version is the most definitive way to play OoT. Maintains the original 3d models and textures while adding the MQ stuff. Although, 3DS version is better for new youngsters who can't stand old graphics. It updated the models to look more current.

Emulate it using Project64 or Dolphin. Both work fine.

That's literally it.

Dolphin can emulate n64 games in addition to GC/Wii(U), so as long as you've got a decent rig use that.

Played it on 3DS two years ago for the first time

If you have a 360 controller or some way to hook up a GameCube controller then use Dolphin, I wouldn't recommend using keyboard controls for OOT
