Are the first two Divinity games (Divine and Beyond) worth playing? Only played Divine Divinity II and their turnbased Original Sin games.

I've seen some people in passing mention how they were pretty okay and I'm a bit interested in the way they're supposedly built a bit more like RPG's with NPC interactions but still have some Diablo-esque gameplay.

Yes. Play Divine Divinity, you can skip Beyond. IMO better than Divinity OS.

divine divinity is pretty good, I only wished enemies respawned because I like to autism grind but that is a personal gripe. game is pretty good in all aspects overall

If you like exploring, massive genocides, hand drawn isometrics and having to level the plainfield on bullshit encounters with creative and borderline gamebreaking methods then sure. I'd give it a go. Just don't expect character development, sappy companions or modern memes. This is some proper classic fantasy at it's best.

Beyond has some excellent moments but first it's more linear and second the graphics were eyeshreding even back in the day.

Divine Divinity is pretty good with no bullshit attached. Anybody can play it and find a solid game, everything only depends on whether you like it or not. It's not like the "good" Arcanum that gets brought up all the time, which is really very poor with some decent story and poorly realised cool concepts.
