I found out today that if you download the Hitman 2 demo you can play all the legacy maps of the first Hitman, thats if you own the copy of Hitman 1. You just have update the first one and then download the Legacy maps bundle from the in game menu store. Saves money having to buy the second one just to enjoy all the new improvements in the older maps. Maybe they have finally fixed sniper rifles, I'll have to check it out once the download finishes.

I'm thinking I'll get the full game because I had a ton of fun with the first one, but I haven't really seen any enhancements in the Legacy missions other than graphical. There are a few things that I'd like to see fix/added:
>grabbing people
I want to interrogate them for intel and use them as meat shields.
>bloody footprints
As it stands, the garrote is pretty much only useful on men in the new master mode, which is 2016's professional mode by the way.
>items
A lot of the items you can get are simply re-skins. The diversity of weapons needs to be increased drastically.
>carrying disguises in cases
Might be a bit OP, but it'd be cool.
>AI
The AI was never that smart to begin with, so that's why it'd be nice if it were to evolve. For example, witnesses are only created if you pacify someone while being in their direct line of sight, meaning that even if you just walked in front before pacifying them from their back, they won't become a witness. I'd also like for some NPCs to be able to identify you by face, meaning that they'd be able to recognize you if you met them in more than one disguise.
Anyways, are all the items from 2016 unlockable in the Legacy missions? I want to get my not-WA2000 back.

When I saw the E3 build, I didn't see much handholding features at all and I was very pleased with that because you had to explore and pay attention to your surroundings, like some sort of hitman. I just tried out the multiplayer, both the coop sniping and ghost mode.
The coop sniping is pretty boring. Each round is easily under five minutes because it's a single map and you memorize the patterns quickly. There's also no way to coordinate with your partner. They do all these voice cues every time a target is downed, so why not do a voice cue that indicates what your partner is targeting, and a three second time so things can be synced up easily? They aren't the best designed duo either, as you can see from the image. Should've been Kane and Lynch, but IOI lost that during the break up. Stone even has the nose bandage. What would be really cool is a Chaos Theory-like coop for all the campaign missions, and Knight would have to find female disguises or from the new gender neutral line-up created by acclaimed fashion designer Sebastian Sato. Then they could have coop disguises so you couldn't pass certain areas alone without raising suspicion, like a TV reporter and a cameraman, an interracial couple :^), VIP and bodyguard, and et cetera.
Ghost mode is quite fun, though. That surprised me, because I thought I would hate it, but it is quite fun running around and keeping on your feet. The problem is that I turn off all the UI and Instinct mode, which carries over to Ghost, meaning that I was at a significant disadvantage during my first match, assuming my opponent had everything disabled. Still won though, cuz I'm a God.

Every game is canon now, including Absolution (even though they originally said it wasn't and are still barely ever mentioning it). 565aad No.15756665
Man, i bought the last one after IO went independent after stealthfags like Super Bunny Cuck just never stopped gushing about it. When it was a one purchase game rather than an always online episodic deal i was surprised to find the game was extremely enjoyable as a puzzle game of sorts and had great replay value to be a patient autist and set up the most bullshit 'accidents' rather than just shoot targets like a turbopleb.
So i was somewhat excited to see what they could do after they blamed the episodic, timed exclusive and always online bullshit on Square Enix like the Deus Ex team did.
But now i hear its back to episodic downloads instead of a single full retail purchase and its always online again?
pleases tell me i've been rused.

I just want sneaking in a quasi urban/modern environment. If a game can be stealthed even a little i do it. To me there is no greater power fantasy than being a fucking total ghost, getting in and out and taking out the target. I remember a quest in oblivion to murder a warlord and all my friends just ran in with a greatsword and sunk a bunch of potions and repairs into mowing down his army. Meanwhile i snuck in, sticking to the shadows and put a poisoned apple in the fruitbowl by his bed. I just sneaked back out, waited a few days and got word he died of poisoning.
Not the best game overall but that kind of shit is what i live for in vidya. The 'where the fuck did that come from?' shit. Either the enemy stronghold goes into a panic or they dont even know its happened and both satisfy in a way no other genre can.

Speed runs are after all at their most interesting when they use unintended mechanics to break the games pacing. Simply doing things the intended way because the devs designed it with speedrunning in mind is fucked up.
If you are going to design for speedrunners, make it in things like loading screens and in-game timers, not in how you actually play the game. Leave that to them.

How? I don't feel much of a hint of Kyd there myself.
I think Hitman 2's OST is pretty good. Miami as a whole has good music, the side track EDM isn't bad either if you have a taste for dnb/house, I believe it is also made by Niels Bye Nielsen like the main OST.
I like Kyd and all, but I'm not sure how long I could stand the same guy with basically the same style making music forever and ever for the games. Plus, Hitman™ 1&2 have a completely different tone compared to all the previous games.

But from what i remember, i also feel some other stuff is from him but i can't pinpoint it. But obviously someone who works and knows music can make a copycat himself if he has the tools. Fonts are not hard to find i believe.

His 4 games all have different ways (concept even?) sure some songs share styles (H2 Action sounds like a Codename 47 song, Secret Invasion sounds like a Silent Assassin song, Double Ballers sounds like Blood Money) but he kept it varied enough

You sort of can, sort of can't. The challenges and mastery system are tied to Online Only. If you play offline, you cannot unlock challenges which get you XP for Mission Mastery, which then unlocks new stuff for you to use in the game. If you unlock something while playing online though, you can still use those items while offline. Most pirated versions just have everything unlocked by default if I recall correctly, but that kinda ruins the pacing, progression and game flow.
I love the game, but I still think that it's kinda bullshit that things that don't have to be online are online like that. At least the hosting is stable, as it's all hosted on Microsoft Azure servers and that will probably stay up until Microsoft decides to shut down Azure (unlikely) or IOI goes bankrupt.

"Never spotted" needs to be reworked and renamed to a different condition in general
Especially now that they fixed the afterlife witness bug because it's redundant with unnoticed kill.
Killing all witness should be a viable option for "no witnesses" there is a "non-target killed" penalty anyways
Originally in 2016 gettin recorded by a camera ruined never spotted even if you didn't do anything illegal and deleted recordings.
And a noise/voilence rating.

Simple: in the past you had 240p cutscenes, compressed mono audio at 22KHz, and low-res textures on low-poly models, with few voice lines. Games got orders of magnitude bigger in every direction. And the audio is probably lossless, and the video is probably very high bitrate. Why would they compress it when it costs a couple bucks more? Just so that the pirate release gets seeded faster?
Of course I'd very much like it if this game was DVD-sized and I could pirate it easily, but I'm not disingenuous.
