Don't know if any FX-series CPU has all the features required for PCI Passthrough.

If security is your primary concern I heard that you can disable AMD's PSP on Ryzen, at least the ones made after the 1st gen.

Consider getting a newer AMD CPU If you ever think of upgrading.

Compared to intel 7xxx & 8xxx series, Ryzen chips has significant performance advantage in all kinds of tasks except for gaming at lower prices.

Threadrippers are even better, they beat intel's Xeons at a third of the price.

Also their newer Vega Cards are the best mining cards, beating Nvidia's xx80ti cards by a decent margin, but they still suck at gaming.
