It's common to see wrong, you see retarded at least once a day, but it's rare to encounter someone somehow thinking the exact opposite of the obvious truth. Getting an OP combination is the entire point of Binding of Isaac. It doesn't get boring when it becomes a cakewalk, it's when the game becomes fun.

Rogue likes are supposed to have variable difficulties depending on what items you find. This includes combos which allow you to win really easily and combos that make it near impossible. The casual players get rewarded with a powerful combo once in a while and do well. The hardcore plays feel challenged by a bad combo once in a while and feel rewarded. You can always restart if you don't like what you have.

Because Nicalis wasn't involved in balancing, and was standalone from other "updates".

Do you know why afterbirth and + shit the bed, content and balance wise?

Because Nicalis was more involved in the game design.

Do you know why nuAntibirth will suck?

Because Nicalis will be, yet again, involved.

And because it will need afterbirth and +, dragging all of its horrendous "additions" to the game.

So if you expect anything resembling "fun", expect hush 2: electric bogaloo and other "fun" mechanics like the random-enemies-portal.

This. Peak fun in BoI (or any similar game) is when you hit upon a combo of items/powerups that has such great synergy that it makes you stupidly OP, and it's made even more fun by contrast with the shit runs. That randomness is a core game mechanic.

Afterbirth killed the game for me. The amount of retarded decisions with enemies, bosses, items, and room layouts absolutely sucked. I haven't really touched the game since. But yes, getting OP synergies in TBOI is what's fun. Getting unlucky with items and becoming some slow fat fuck with shit damage is what's not fun. In fact I would redesign the game to avoid repetitive boring normal tear runs and make it more about effects and synergies, there's too many straightforward upgrade items with no effects.

I haven't tried Afterbirth+ but since they expect you to buy the second DLC when I already bought the original TBOI + expansion and TBOIR+Afterbirth, they can rightly go fuck themselves. It looks like padded shit anyway.

I mentioned Hush because at first they promised us a new branch/scenario, and ended up with just a boss fight.

Even on the (((steam))) page it says:

"Expanded main game - a new final area with a new final boss".

If by "new area" they mean a room with two adjacent treasure rooms and a shop.

Also "final boss" is also wrong, because you can continue playing, it's a mid/optional boss at most.

Nigger what you could do is maybe ask for harder patterns, Shit like ultra greed/ier delirum and hush are only really hard because the game makes an attempt at trapping you in the room with them for an extended period of time, not because they're actually hard bosses to fight.Shit the closest thing to "hard" these bosses offer is spamming exploding projectiles. With fucked up hitboxes.
