Enhanced edition is good, no game breaking bugs and it works, high resolution is nice. Audio compression is less lossy.

I do know that save games from the normal edition don't work with the enhanced edition unfortunately.

I had reached Ravel and would like to know if anyone has and could share a savefile that is close at that point in the game. Would really like to finish this game but don't have it in me right now to replay to reach her right now.

What is there even to get good at? Put most of your points into INT/WIS/CHA and just talk to people, avoiding combat whenever possible. You know how some games have a "story mode" when you can skip the gameplay? PS:T is basically story mode by default.

I remember playing this a few years back and getting an instant crash every time I left an npcs house near the beginning of the game.

Apparently I needed a hex editor to fix it, and I dropped it there.

Beamcock went out of their way to point out that they didn't tamper with the actual story and texts in the game. Think about this. They need to announce that they are NOT working on certain parts of a game in order to mollify fans.

Do the install one step at a time and test each step. Install game > run game > save game > load game > close game > run game > load game. Rinse and repeat after each patch and mod. Make sure you're using a save that's from the same edition and patch. Mods may fuck with saves, too.

Carryover from the engine itself

Someone mentioned it, now I have to play it again. Last time I played without the widescreen patch and all the fixes, so it was just stretched out 640x480. Right now I set it to 800x600 and then manually letterboxed it. What resolution do you fags use that isn't too zoomed out with a UI for ants and isn't too stretched? I've tried like 6 different setups and 800x600 is the only one that's looked okay to me.

1280 x 800 looks good to me for Infinity Engine games, a decent compromise between field of view and size. I would also recommend increasing to framerate cap speed up the gameplay a bit. And for crying out loud, set your OS to not stretch the image but put black bars at the side, I scream internally every time I see a horizontally stretched picture.

They know nobody liked the shit they did with their remakes of the Baldur's Gate games. I would say if someone is lazy and doesn't want to install the mods themselves they can just pirate this since Beamdog essentially just mashed together some mods the community made and are trying to sell it for some easy cash.
