Every now and then, when some anons who want to play something like a Fighter or a party game like Smash lament when companies are being jewish with (((Paid Online))) or are complaining that they can't play online on cracked copies, they get called faggots for being too socially retarded to have friends to play on the couch with.

It makes me wonder. Are there games where online play is superfluous/actively detracts from the game? If so, why? Alternatively, what games are there that could benefit from having online to them?

Multiplayer detracts from every game it's in, and if multiplayer is a focus, the game cannot be good.

You have a point. Thinking about it, quality of a match being entirely dependant on other people and the majority of them being faggots can lower value overall. I never really noticed. Likely because I myself am too autistic to make friends to play vidya locally with and thus never knew multiplayer beyond Online.

Dark Souls.

The messages are a neat addition, seeing other players ghosts is cool, and being able to summon others is really neat… but the constant fucking looming threat of a twink, cheater, hacker, or PvP expert invading you and killing you when you're trying to enjoy the PvE experience is a piece of SHIT.

Not to mention all the shit hackers can do to fuck with your world in Dark Souls 1.

It makes the best option to play without internet or as a hollow.

My retard teammates never took my fun away. They are not responsible for my fun; I am. I simply set myself a different goal than winning a match, which requires teamwork. My goals were good personal score or k/d. And voila! I played as best as I could and had fun whether or not our team won.

Then there are of course deathmatch type of games, which are pure motherfucking meritocracy!

I'm only waiting for when the time AI would take over the gaming scene so the cancer would end but the next generation games would be revolving around programming an AI to play with other AI.
