All three were on 360, but they ran like absolute dogshit. Regular drops to 15FPS in normal gameplay and fairly downgraded graphics. Digital Foundry did a thing on them and the only positive they found was that the console versions actually supported multicore CPUs whereas the PC version didn't.

Found it, it's a three part series that absolutely destroyed the Crysis 2 ports for being what killed the series.

Too be fair, back then the vast majority of PCs were still singlecore and multicore was still the wild west for PCs and there could've been many different multicore configs whereas today everything is more settled down and standardized in that regard. For console dev kits it was likely just a cheap "push button to optimize for multithreading" type deal as console dev kits really only needed to work on one type of hardware

So basically you can't balance movement and attack and are salty that Crysis forces you to use good timing and to intelligently trade off rapid movement vs accuracy as needed. I don't know if you noticed, but trading off different strengths as the situation calls for them is a core gameplay aspect of Crysis, hence the suit modes. When you are relocating you turn on Maximum Speed or Maximum Strength depending on whether you're moving horizontally or vertically, when you are attacking you turn on Maximum Armour to reduce damage taken from enemy fire, unless you need to conserve energy for relocation and are willing to gamble some lost health if the enemy hits. Etc. That's how the game works.

Not sure if underage, but multicore never reached the consumers until the mid to late 2000s. the Intel Core 2 is generally considered to be the start of mainstream multicore chips for general purpose machines and that wasn't released until 2006. Maybe you're thinking of multi-treating/hyperthreading which was a thing on the Pentium 4 but that's not quite the same as multicore and optimizing for it isn't quite the same either.

Is it just me or do Crysis games have a kind of floaty gunplay and movement? The gun sounds were meh, the projectiles felt weak, the blood splatter wasn't adequate, and the enemy response to damage could be better.
