Mike is explicitly a manipulative asshole telling people what they want to hear (or at least what will get them to act the way he wants them to) instead of his true thoughts, so no knowing the exact result of the dialog option was acceptable unlike every other attempt at it that has been made.

It had some actual choices and consequences. Everything else was complete shit. Especially the dialogue system. Whoever thought it was a good idea to combine dialogues and QTEs should never get a job in the industry again.

Are you talking about Alpha Protocol? The game where the AI reacts to bodies, but you can't move said bodies? The game were the best way to deal with this is to try to make the body despawn? No, it really isn't a very good stealth game.

The writing's really good and there's actual choices and consequences. Main character's almost always a huge asshole which is always fun. You can see good mechanics they'd later add into Fallout New Vegas, like getting little buffs for completing objectives and interacting with characters. You can join forces with the bad guy or become the bad guy and it's treated as a legitimate ending. The gameplay is insultingly easy to make up for how buggy and just-below-mediocre it is.
It's really the prime example of Obsidian's great writing team, earnest developers, and terrible upper management.

Hand to hand+shotguns are the best way to play this game. Too many people fell for the stealth+pistols meme which makes every fight trivial. Only reason to do it is to see the way things change when you're undetected and don't kill people.

Wish I took stealth on my playthrough, it would have made that section of the game where they take away all of your weapons much easier. Also would have made the end of the game where all of the enemies suddenly take 6 headshots to kill easier.
