I quite like 16:9, though I have seen bad implementations in modern games. Usually, older games that support it either with mods or out of the box are great in 16:9.

I'm using my old secondary 5:4 as my primary monitor since my 16:9 primary died over a year ago.

I have a 5:4 for most things that require reading, including the internet which most sites are still largely designed around a square monitor as opposed to a widescreen one, and a 16:9 for games and videos. I find it's a good setup.

16:9 is shit for a monitor. It's too wide and you end up with so much wasted space on the sides. 16:10 gives you full use of your space.

Good luck finding one that's not used or absurdly overpriced. I was looking around for one that's 2560x1600 and Dell still makes them, but it's $1,100. I'm not really sure I want 16:10 anyways, and my 2560x1440 is good enough for now.

A monitor that's 1920x1200 will still have wasted space on the sides compared to 1920x1080. It just gives you more vertical space.
