So as some of you may have heard, apparently capcom is gonna make an MvC4 using MvCI as a base. So I wanted to make a thread with some speculation on what we would want to see from such a title and what characters we'll get, and maybe some discussion on who capcom can partner with instead of fucking Marvel.

Honestly I'm a bit disappointed that capcom hasn't approached another company instead like Nintendo or even Shonen Jump, especially now that Marvel is going through problems with commies/SJWs and Disney doesn't seem to be taking charge of the issue. Either way let's just hope Disney gives capcom full creative control, rather than having to answer to Marvel, especially what happened after MvCI. What a fucking shitshow that was.

With that said IF we're stuck getting an MvC4, I'd like to see Linn Kurosawa return and maybe even bring in some characters like Darth Vader, Predator and Bruce Willis from Die Hard from the other Disney + Fox stuff. That said I'm pretty sure they'll probably be more conservative like with Kingdom Hearts, but a man can dream.

At this point they should just go all-out and make it Disney vs Capcom.

Which actually now that I think about it, could be a much better game than it sounds, especially since Capcom has a long history of producing the best licensed games Disney ever had.

Darkwing Duck would be an amazing character to play as in a fighting game. Or Uncle Scrooge complete with the pogo jump attack. Imagine Jasmine from Aladdin with her tiger in a Bust Nakoruru playstyle. Donald Duck with Berzerker Barrage. Mickey Mouse summoning magic mops as a super move. Mulan, Hercules and the Beast are all easy to envision as FG characters. Final boss Maleficent with ALL THE POWERS OF HELL.

Of course, they'd just fuck it up by filling it with Current Year Disney shit instead of going back to the classics and the Disney Afternoon like they should.

Capcom can't be trusted, even with their own fighters. Look how much they fucked over Street Fighter V despite having such a large budget because they wanted to release it a year early and expected fans to eat their unfinished garbage. Then they completely fucked up something many thought would be impossible, MvC. This game wasn't given a chance from both Capcom and whoever they were dealing with to get the Marvel cast. It had half the budget for SFV's DLC budget and was heavily rushed just so it could buy them time before Monster Hunter World saves their asses. Then they completely fucked SF's 30th anniversary collection. I don't think they're actually capable of making a good fighter now.

I would rather have a Senran Kagura fighter or Idea Factory vs Compile Heart done by Examu, French Bread, Arc, or SNK. At least they can still make good 2D fighters.

MvCI was made on a shoestring budget and with little time behind it. A small doujin circle could and have made better games. I bet most of the money for that game went towards marketing instead of the game.

Why don't they just make a Capcom Fighting Jam 2, but using MvC3 as a base? I'm sure they can find some analogues to beloved Marvel playstyles like Magneto, Wolverine, Wackbot, and others. This also eliminates the need to play footsies with another company because they can just work from within their own company. (Though in hindsight, Capcom has some fucking problems with coordinating its different game divisions anyways, but at least it's still easier than trying to coordinate with another company entirely.)

I think we wouldve had a thread already of that were the case.

That said, no one was happy with MvCI, so i dont expect Disney to work with Capcom again. If anything, Disney would be smarter to go to ArkSys to make a game. Not even for their skill or anything like that, but because its easy enough to see that normals fucking ate up Dragon Ball Fighterz.

Also, i wouldny by another MvC unless it had everyone from the previous games in it. You dont make a roster the size of MvC2 and then go smaller next game.
