As >>15601567 says, MG is workable if you're looking for credits and such (which is the main reason I bother with them, finding names without having to deal with spoilers or sitting through video clips), but even they don't have them for every game or version of game. Not sure if their staff has a particular leaning or remain neutral/apolitical though either.

I've considered making a "VNDB" style site for a type of games that I enjoy (not visual novels; those obviously already have that niche filled and good for a database site), but even if I have the web coding know-how and time, I do not have the money for either domain, hosting, or antispam if comments/user submitted ratings/reviews/entries were to be factored in.

Some autist tried to make an online database of games by any/pro consumerist policies, political stances, DRM, etc. Last I heard was quite many months ago, so I assume it fizzled just like about every project born here.

There's a couple of library programs like Delicious Library and Collectorz that might have databases like that. But you can only access them by buying their software. Also I think there's an Android application called games database you might want to check out
