Well, first step would probably be to get out of Commiefornia, assuming you leave any leftisms behind you, or maybe shift goals into an actual trade school. Could be more expensive, but ability to focus solely on your line of interest would likely do you a lot of good. Friend of mine was interested in auto repair, took I think a year class, got into working there, and now runs his own garage or whatever at a dealership a few years later. He's always ragged on me and another friend for dealing with extraneous schooling compared to trade.
