Wow, seems like ncSoft finally figured out what the old L2 players wanted to play. Is this stuff completely new? I was unaware of this so far, been playing here and there on private servers from time to time.

It's good and what most MMO anime are based off. Create character, start off in your races village. Go party and grind.

Your character in this game doesn't actually get stronger as they level up. You get access to skills yes, but most of your power comes from equipment that you can buy from NPC stores and other players.

The real struggle is for money (Adena), You'll want to aim for the best weapon you can get first. Don't use soulshots till you have a good weapon coz that will really eat into your budget, even then some save it for since they are so expensive. You are a real murderhobo in this game.

Rather than level you'll see players talk about which grade they are. This is reference to what grade items they have.

No-grade, c-grade, b-grade etc. Yes there is level requirements for using items of higher grade but you'll reach that before you can even afford it.

Its only a little of p2w and more of grind day and night to win. You can pay to grind at twice the speed but you still have to grind as much. At least you can kind of optimize your grinding routine, but even shitty mmo these days cut this kind of grind completely. In most cases they already have a fucking bot in the game which does this mindless grind for you.

And unless you are a girl you will play alone with no help.

Been playing this for a few days on the Aden server. level 18 now.

It's very Nostalgic and reminds me just how bad modern MMO's are. (I've had a Subscription to FFXIV for years).

If anyone else is on Aden, I'm open to partying up and grinding, or even clanning up.

I had fun with this game as a teen, but I don't know if it holds up. Funny how everything's getting a classic server now, though.

because everything now is complete garbage. they have replaced grinding microtransactions and monthly subscriptions for microtransaction currencies. i'd actually pay a sub if the game wasn't shit but i'm not paying a sub for the microtransaction store.

Classic so what chronicle is it? 1? C4 best C. What about exp rates, don't tell me it's 1x with no quests? I'd rather shoot myself.

And as much as i LOVED this game there's no way in hell i'm going back and neither should you, the gameplay was surpassed years ago, click to move and tab targeting in general should just die.

Try BDO, even if it's complete shit and the community is garbage the skills and combos are pretty nice, it should give you a general idea of how MMOs should make their combat.
