It's simple OP. The best games on the Amiga CD 32 were ported to other platforms and considered mediocre forgettable trash at best. The standards for home computer games was much lower than home console games.

Because the majority of the Amiga game library was putrid filth because Europeans couldn't make good games in game genres which didn't originate in the West. Euroshmups are an actual thing for that reason and they're garbage 90% of the time. Americans didn't really bother with the Amiga who innovated with cRPGs, p'n'c adventures, strategy games, and other lesser known genres on other computer platforms, while nips dominated the consoles with their superior games.

The only good Amiga games were those which showed a figment of innovation, and came primarily from British studios such as Bullfrog or Team17

Thunderforce is pretty overrated. The music is good in all the games, but only 3 and IV have better than mediocre gameplay. Musha has really good music and gameplay, but again this proves nothing. You seem awfully mad at Europe for some reason.

Amiga's library was 98% complete eurotrash shovelware garbage and most games worth a shit had already got better ports on other platforms, mostly the Genesis which outside of Sega exclusives and japanese games was pretty much an Amiga port machine already. That's another reason the CD32 failed.

Honestly this. Euro games suck, most of the 8 and 16-bit computer games that euros nostalgiafag over were terrible and not worth playing today compared to their console contemporaries. Even today their AAA devs are terrible cucks and the only "good" games they seem to produce, outside of some flukes like STALKER, are niche things like simulators, RTS, and wargames.

This thing was barely technically competitive with the Genesis or SNES, had nogaems, and came out 2 years before the PS1 launched in europe, and just 1 before it launched in Japan (so everyone knew something actually impressive was on the horizon). You would have to have been a total idiot to buy one of these things. Even for Amigafags you could have gotten a real A1200 for about the same price or cheaper.

Atari Jaguar was far more powerful, could handle 2.5D games almost as good as PC's at the time, and more than $100 cheaper. Granted, it had no CD player. Also, almost all consoles released in between SNES/Genesis and PS1/Saturn/N64 flopped.

Amiga games suck. The only lasting value that platform had was in the demoscene and early digital music and art scenes. Even the ST arguably had more influence on music production as its MIDI support made it the first affordable DAW.

My uncle pretty much gave me his when I was little. I have fond memories of this thing.

Actually though, the system didn't sell bad when it came out, and looked like it was starting to pick up steam, but Commodore shit the bed so hard financially due to other unrelated factors they went bankrupt and had to discontinue the console only a few months after release, like what happened with the Dreamcast except way worse.
